Hey gang... I realize that the overwhelming majority of postings on this site reflect the NX series of cameras. But I have to say that periodically an enthusiast compact comes along that although initially wasn't accepted by the masses, nevertheless has turned out to be quite an exceptional performer. This is a camera I keep 'coming back to'. Not that I sold one and got another, but I keep looking for a more modern camera with 60P video and more reliable WiFi to phone connectivity, but truth is, other than it's niggles, (few), the EX2F does pretty much everything well (more so than my previous more expensive cameras), and I certainly don't notice many of the flaws mentioned in the DPREVIEW review. 1. Firstly let me say I'll be comparing this to it's nearest competitor, the Panasonic LX7, the camera it replaced for me. To be honest both are excellent cameras which have their own strengths and weaknesses distinct from each other, but the Samsung has some really nice touches that put it above the Panasonic for me. Have been using it for about 6months, bought it used.  It is very fast, and for street photo just perfect for me, lens cap is a minor annoyance, but picture quality is top notch.

I have recently tried each of the following:  MX-1, D-LUX 6, P7700 and EX2F.  EX2F has exceptional image quality when processing RAW files.  The P7700 was equal in image quality but the EX2F is more suited to my shooting style.  It's image stabilization is extremely impressive.  I can hand hold down to 1 second with perfectly sharp photo results.   Do yourself a favor and shoot Slow-Sync flash setting.  You will be amazed at the results.  The best compact camera I have used to date.  Only ...
