Is the 7Dmkii still worth purchasing in 2020? Specially when you compare it to the current line up of mirrorless cameras available to you. I have the opportunity to purchase a used 7Dmkii with some lenses (17-55 ef-s, 100-300 ef, and 50mm) with some extra batteries and cards. Shutter count is somewhere above 200,000+ (owner does wildlife work). Body looks well taken care of, and the sensor was recently cleaned by Canon. Asking price is a little under $900. A lot of the strong points this...
I have mechanical shutter set. I like to hear the shots. I have spot af with servo. When I select drive mode to H+ I get 12fps. When set to H I get 12 fps. According to the manual it should be 6fps. The next setting does sound like 3fps as said. Any help appreciated as I don't really need 12fps. What am I doing wrong? Jim.
Hi, I have the latest version 1.12.70 (I think) and I'm finding it very sluggish with the RAW files from my R6. I basically don't apply any in camera 'processing'. (no noise reduction, etc). When I had my 5ds I could scroll the sharpness slider and the result was on screen almost immediately. Not with the CR3 files on the R6. Even scrolling around an image takes ages for the software to catch up. I have a fast PC so it's not that. It seems to be performing more processing than what I would...

Hello everybody, I've already others Canon cameras and now a R6 from about a week. I've found this strange behavior from the R6 and I've asked also to others owners of this camera in my circle to try. More responses are surely better feedback to investigate about this ipotetical small bug. This bug report is simple. When you use a EF lens without optical stabilizer "IS", personally I've tried with the 135L and a 45 TS-E, the camera stabilizer work well in every mode (P; TV; AV; M), but when...

I'm a mature hobbyist that love to do mostly family/landscape and a little wildlife (BIF)/macro. Not into video except for birthday and Xmas... Here's the deal, I can get an almost new 7R4 for the price of a R6. Would add a Sony 24-105 and 200-600 + a macro lens. The only Canon lens I kept are the 100-400 II with 1.4 extender and wanted to start anew with a R6 + RF 24-105 + EF 1.4 III + 100-400 II and the coming RF85 F/2. So my understanding/assumptions are: - Ergonomics should be the same....

Hi, Have my new R6 and liking it! Have the RF 100-500 and RF 24-105 (F4). Using Servo and Spot Focus. I'm finding that the 24-105 will focus in low light that the 100-500 finds very difficult. I was shooting at 500mm f7.1 (or f8) and focussing felt slow and never locked on. Is my 100-500 a dud or is it that due to the f7.1 there simply not enough light hitting the sensor? I've played with the 100-500 out doors and it is much better. Seldom hunts. Thanks, Jim.
