Hi All, In K-x body I could switch between fixed ISO and ISO AUTO via menu available on “Info” button. QUESTION: how does it work with K3? Manual says “Press (image of green button) to set the sensitivity to [ISO Auto]” (page 39), but nothing happens - I presume I should see ISO AUTO in view finder, but I don’t. Just in case “ISO AUTO” range (visible through menu on “Info” button) at this moment is set to 100-1600. Any comments, please? Ta! Mcdim
I searched and did not see any reference to my question. I have a Kx when in auto mode the flash will automatically pop up when needed. Now on my K-S1 in the same mode does not. I have checked the flash settings and they are in auto. Do I have something that is defective here are am I missing something? Thanks MDLA.
I have a question about something I have noticed over several years and several Pentax cameras: Sometimes, when I take consecutive pictures, it appears that the white balance or something else color-related changes between each picture. Here are two examples: The two pictures are taken less than a second apart. Both pictures are manually set exactly the same: F/2.8, 1/400, ISO 3200, manual white balance. No auto anything. Even the focus is manual. As you can see, the first picture appears...
Does anyone have a white K-50 or K-30? I just bought a K-3 and was planning to keep my K-x as a second body. But since I needed a couple of WR lenses for rainy-day shooting, I think I've decided to sell the K-x and just get the WR lenses in a kit with the K-50. Comes out to be about the same net cost, and I get a new camera for the backup. Anyway, I really like the looks of the white K-50, and that kit is only $20 more than the black. But I have two questions first: Does the white part of...
I just ordered the K-3 as a replacement for my K-x, and I’m trying to choose a WR lens or two. There are two situations in which I find myself wanting WR: Hiking, usually shooting waterfalls. Typically I shoot these with the DA21, but it’s not WR for times when it’s raining. Shooting youth flag football. I almost always use the Tamron 70-200/2.8 for this, but again it’s not WR when it rains. After spending the money on the new body, I can really only afford to spend ~$300 for now. So I...
New guy here. Currently using a Kx (had K10 for a while which the children kindly smashed) with the following lenses. Hello to you all, My wife and I are planning a trip to India in February 2016. We love India, and it will be my fourth trip in this wonderful country, but it will be our first journey with some wildlife photography in mind. We’ll visit North India : Rajhastan, Taj Mahal, and we plan to spend some days in national parks : 4-5 days in Corbett for sure, and maybe Keoladeo with birds in mind or Ranthambore for tigers. What kind of lenses would you advise us to take ? We already have bodies :...

Sorry for the long post. Thanks to those who read it, and thanks in advance for any input, suggestions, etc. OK, first, I'm all excited! I bought a K-3 today! I should get it by Monday! But I have a question: I currently shoot with a K-30. I bought a K-3 in part because of the improved AF performance. I own only ONE lens with the motor built into the lens itself: The Sigma 18-250 OS HSM. I like to shoot sports, but only when my kids are involved. (I'm not a "serious" sports shooter.) I shoot...
