Hell All, I need to make some photos of portrait enlargements about 20x30 (50x75cm) for my daughters. I have used my cameras and lenses as follows for a periods that make good IQ for portrait but without any enlargements: 1-Nikon D5000 with 55-200mm VR 2- Pentax K-x & K50 with 55-300mm, Takumar 55mm 1.8 and Pancolar 50mm 1.8 3-Sony A65 with 55-200mm SAM Do i need to buy another camera that im thinking (Nikon D5500 with 85mm 1.8G) to make sharp enlargements 20x30 or it may be possible with my...
Hello Everybody. I'm experiencing a malfunction shooting with the couple in subject. Some as one picture of ten but up to one to three are "dark": I mean that they are so underexposed that the image can be seen with difficulty. I tested either with random interval shots that in burst mode. It seems that a burst of ten shots with a 3 seconds interval has the maximum of underexposed images. A burst of ten with an interval of 10 seconds displays a unsuccessful of one (of ten) and one or two...
I have a k5 that seemed to miss focus a lot. I came across a beal on a k50 I couldn't pass up on so bought that. It seemed to focus better with the 18-55 WR. This evening I was playing around (inside, low light) and was very disappointed in the image results. I compared them to my small sensor compact xz-2. The xz-2 looked better. I tried manual focus on the k50 and was able to get much better shots. Is the focus control, or logic, in the lens or the camera body? I've been thinking...
I'm doing GCSE photography and bought a K-50 a few days ago, but every picture I take comes out dark. I've changed the exposure and tried a few different modes but the pictures always come out basically black, with only the lightest part of the picture showing. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong/ what I could do?
Hi all, it's winter here in the uk and I'm making my plans for spring . heres what I already own, k50 with kit lens, em10 with kit lens and 45mm . A P900. now what I'm after is something to complement my P900 which has s covering my long range needs nicely. it needs to be fast focusing with a good close focus along with good magnification. For macro , flowers etc. Trying to decide on either macro lens and a telephoto for one body or get a fz1000 or 330 . I just don't know enough to be able...
Hello All I used D5000 with 55-200mm VR for sharp portrait and also i have used other cameras such as Pentax k-x and K50 with 55-300mm that gave sharp images but before 2 years , i found Sony a65 with SAM 55-200mm gave better IQ. Now im interesting in different Nikon cameras with 85mm 1.8G for sharp portraits. I found in some reviews that Nikon D5300 gave excellent IQ and better than D7100. i also wrote that D7200 and D7100 have better focusing system than D5300. I like D5300 for the...

I am looking to get a tripod soon. I would like to keep the total including ball head under $200 USD. I currently have a Fujifilm S1 and in the coming months I plan on getting a Pentax K50. The tripod will be mostly used for landscapes, long exposures, and a little bit of astrophotography. Portability would be nice but I would rather have stability and strength if there is a trade off. I am totally new to the tripod market so I don't really know what direction to go. I found one that seems to...
Does anyone know of a way to determine if LENR was on or off in my RAW files? I'm trying to go back into my night photos to determine if I had it turned on or not. I shoot a Pentax K-50 and its setting is actually called Slow Shutter Noise Reduction which is just their name for LENR. I've looked at the properties and it doesn't show anything for me. My RAW files are DNG out of the camera if that matters. Thanks in advance. keithz
