I have had this camera for just over a year but now the shutter speed is so slow that either the pictures are extremely blurry of so white washed that you can barely see the subject. Indoors or out I am having trouble. My knowledge is limited but hoping for an easy reset or setting suggestion.

Hello everyone! I realize this is a question a lot of people have asked. I've done a lot of research. Like most people I feel a bit lost with all the different choices that are now available. This post might get a bit lengthy but I want to include enough information. So here it goes: My photography experience: studying beginner. I've done a lot of reading on photography basics/essentials, follow various photography blogs & watched videos on Creative Live/Lynda.com. So I kind of have a grasp...
Hi all - I'm very new to DSLR photography, and the Pentax K-50 is my first DSLR. I have 3 lenses - kit 50-200 mm zoom, kit 18-55, and an f1.8. I love to "explore" and take pictures of landscape. I find that when I take closeups - with any of those lenses - they turn out pretty decent. However, when I take shots of more distant landscapes like this one, they turn out very faded / washed out. I'm assuming this is something I am doing wrong as a newbie, and not an issue with the camera. Here are...
Hi, am about to get Pentax K50, And I have made up my mind over Saony A6000 and Nikon d5300. I am really confused if k50 , with its 16 MP sensor can take really good pics, specifically Macros. Though I believe its the lense which will take me up close to a subject and then the sensor shall do its job, but am confused I doubt If this is the best choice as far as Image quality is concerned, in good light and bad light. Please Help. Any Macro that you may have captured with this camera and can...
Does anyone know of a trustworthy vendor selling K50 refurbs? My K50 has gone bad in less than 18 months. Repair will probably run about $200 (for shutter/aperture issue), and I'll be without the camera for up to six weeks. I'm wondering if I could get a good refurb for a reasonable price, and have it delivered faster. I'm wary of using the manufacturer's authorized repair service in US, as I've seen some unfavorable reviews. This is my first DSLR camera, and there's a lot I don't know....

hey everyone, new guy here so be nice :) I recently switched from a Pentax k50 to my a6000. I currently have the kit lenses (16-50 and 55-210) plus a couple manual Pentax lenses 50/1.4 & 135/2.8. My wife bought me an external flash this past xmas that is nice for small indoor work. I enjoy everything but the 16-50. Unless the light is perfect and I am stopped down it is terrible. I am not exaggerating here, I recently took indoor photos for a local business as a favor and ended up using the...
