Currently using the excellent and massively underrated K-70 as a replacement for my old K-5. It is better in almost all respects other than continuous focus, and speed of focus where it is equally as slow as the K-5 with my four DA lenses that lack internal motors and rely on the screw drive provided by the body. Those of you who have the K3 III and use it with, say, the DA Limiteds, is AF any faster or accurate? I am not doing sports, but continuous AF is really useful when you are taking...

Is there an extended warranty available for the K-3 III? I remember that they offered one for the K-5 when I bought it, but the one that I’ve seen on B&H says it’s for the under $1,000 bodies. I’m just wondering about if they’re going to offer one for the Mk. III, or if they will extend the one for the under $1,000 bodies to cover the new flagship...

My previous FF cameras were a couple of old Nikon film bodies. Also had a Hasselblad and Sinar for specific projects, plus a load of 6x9 folding cameras. That all, including a B&W darkroom. On the Nikon my most used FL was 28mm, for landscape, swapping to a 105mm for anything needing a flatter perspective and less DOF, inc studio work. First dSLR : Olympus E300, then Pentax K-5, then mirrorless GH4 and GH5. Gave the first two away, but kept two lenses from the K-5 (15mm Limited and 35mm Macro...

I realise there's been many topics on this here (I'm only look over here once every month or so, but I know lens talk for high-MP is a topic) but I've not really found an answer to my conundrum. Some threads I read here the OP doesn't supply enough info; so some info coming up... you could skip though and head straight to *** Lenses? *** My previous FF cameras was a couple of old Nikon film bodies. I shoot anything and everything ranging from astro and commercial to wildlife. I am a pro photographer and also work on cameras. I currently own the 50 1.8d, and the tamron A007N (24-70 2.8 sp g1), and will probably buy the nikkor afs vr 70-200 and the tamron g2 15-30 2.8 and a few zeiss primes. D850 vs d4/s vs d500. I currently own: a d100, a 150k actuation d3500, a d600, and a k5

Looking at getting a new camera for video. The GH5 is one of my leading choices. I currently have a Pentax K-5 that I have used primarily for photos. I want to see if my current lenses could be adapted to work on the GH5. I have Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR DI-II LD Aspherical (IF) Standard Zoom Lens for Pentax and also a 80-200mm. Would something like this Focal Reducer Speed Booster Adapter be what I need? Or is there something else out there? Or am I out of luck? Any info would be greatly...

Previously when I downloaded my images from my Pentax K-5 they went into a documents folder called 100PENTX. When that folder reached a certain capacity I renamed and dated it. I have followed this procedure for many years with Windows XP and then Windows 7 Professional. I should note that there are a few special old images that I maintain in the camera but delete after downloading since they are already in older folders. I was able to locate folders quickly when I viewed the photo tree in...

Hi, My K5 slowly spiralled into the dust bin, starting with a mirrorbox alignment problem, followed by a total malfunction of the LiveView screen, and ending with mainboard death. I used it till the end, first adjusting my focus oddly so that I could still get relatively good pictures, then by using only the viewfinder when the backside LED went, but finally had to quit when the mainboard went south. I really like the camera, and intend to get another one. When the K5 finally died, I decided...
