First, I apologize if this topic has been covered elsewhere. I have been interested in buying a K5lls, attracted by it's lack of an AA filter. I generally don't print pictures and want to know how much of a difference I will see if choose the K5 over the K5lls. Thanks.

Hello Pentaxians, have the chance to get a FA SMC 1:4 28-70mm 28-70 mm AL which I would like to use on my K5. It is an old lens - I know -, it´s in very good condition with clear glas, no dust no fungus. But what can I expect using it on the K5, how would it perform ? Does anybody use this oldie ? Thank you for your hints in advance, Rudi.
I'd like to get some advice regarding a camera system to purchase, and was thinking of one of the Sony models because of it's versatility. Currently camera: Pentax K5 with a number of lenses. It has worked well but the autofocus can at times be pretty bad, I have to calibrate the body to the lens for better accuracy and it doesn't really have a usable video mode. Additionally, an older Canon full frame camera with several lenses were gifted to me as well as a Leica (!) lens. So in the past...

Hi there. I'm planning to buy a fast manual 50mm lens for Fuji X-T20. I had some limited experience with vintage glass a few years ago with MC Helios 44K-4 and adapted Industar 50-2 on a Pentax K-5 body. I'm considering either getting a new 7Artisans 55 mm F1.4 II or TTARTISAN 50MM F1.2... OR adapt a CZJ Pancolar 50mm F1.8 (which costs around the same as those mentioned lenses) or SMC Pentax-M (or A) 50mm F1.7 (usually for half the price of Pancolar). Now, bokeh and mechanical quality aside,...
Hi I got my wife a used K5 a couple of months ago at a small photo shop downtown. She wants to get into proper photography and the cameras she had gotten used to, the typical point-and-shoot types grew less and less appealing to her. The K5 certainly is a good camera and it performs well but the weight is an issue. When I went to another local camera shop to try to find a lighter lens for the K5, I was informed that Pentax no longer exists as a company and the shop doesn't sell any lenses for...
Finally got my K3iii and am working on learning all (or at least some) of the options. It seemed like an easy jump from the K5ii if I just wanted to shoot, but now I need to start taking advantage of all the features and options. With the upgrade in equipment 2 questions popped up that I would like to ask for help with: 1) I am trying to travel light for a trip and debating between the external charger from my K5ii and the new USB charger that plugs into camera directly. Has anyone tried...
How do I easily check the battery level with the following setup?... I have the rear LCD 'Info Display' screen set to off - as I don't need to constantly see it (or see it at all actually). Rather than having to turn the Info Display off each time I turn the camera on (which then requires several button presses), I've set the 'Memory' menu item to remember that I've set the 'Info Display' to Off... Menu > Camera item 5 > Memory > Shooting Info Display > Ticked. Now pressing Info (twice) then...
I am trying to find either a usb or much preferable, 12v battery charger for my K-1. The battery is the pentax D-LI90, mains charger is the D-BC90. The battery is also used in the pentax 645d, 645z, K-3 series, K-5 series, K-7. All the chargers found so far state compatability with all cameras I have listed, except the K-1. Tech support at Ex-Pro (uk supplier) have replied to me that although they support the models listed, they are not compatible with the K-1, but don't give any reason why...
