After much reading and comparing Sony, Canon, and Nikon I have decided to leave my Pentax K-3 ii world for probably the A7R iii. I prefer shooting nature, and landscapes, and am cursed with enjoying everything from my 10-17 mm lens to 500 mm and macro. No real interest in photographing people, architecture and (Lord forbid) weddings.  Want to grow my skills and share my art with others.  My question: If you transitioned from APSC to full frame what caught you by surprise, what did you have to...

Is there an extended warranty available for the K-3 III? I remember that they offered one for the K-5 when I bought it, but the one that I’ve seen on B&H says it’s for the under $1,000 bodies. I’m just wondering about if they’re going to offer one for the Mk. III, or if they will extend the one for the under $1,000 bodies to cover the new flagship...

Does anyone know if a plain focusing screen, without the black lines, is available for the Pentax K-3 ii?  Sometimes, I find those lines distracting.

So I have had my K-3 II for a while now, but never played with astrotracer before the geminids meteor shower last week.  terrible results.  So i have a few questions, i was hoping some of you could help answer, about how the astrotracer functions.   I have thread threw a bunch of threads, but can't find answers to these questions. 1.  Is there any way in the exif data (or on screen in image review mode) to see if astrotracer was active?  I know it should be obvious from the star trails, but...

-Hi, Can someone point me to a thread or other source of advice on camera settings for birds in flight?  I have a K1 and K3ii.  Advice also for another persons K70 appreciated too. I usually use AF.C with either centre cluster of points or all points.  Single point for static birds.  1/2500+, F8+ and let ISO do what it likes to a 3200limit.   I have seen some thread comments on back button focussing but found them confusing.  Same for a thread on using the SEL selection of AF points, which I...

Hello everyone. I've got a K-3 II, and I use it with the grip... but as I am willing to sell the camera and grip, I realized I misplaced the rubber that goes under the camera, where you connect the grip.  I've looked on ebay, amazon, and didn't find any replacement... does anyone know where to buy one?  Thanks a lot!  --Alan SchamberProgress is not possible without deviation from the norm - Frank Zappa

Hi ! I just bouth a Pentax 18-55 WR. You can see it here: https://www.ebay.it/itm/SMC-Pentax-DA-18-55mm-F3-5-5-6-AL-WR-Lens/332913988407?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 It didn't arrive yet but it will soon. As you can see in the description cover for the filter window is missing. Do you think it affects the weather resistant feature? Moreover in the first and in the second pic, magnifying them, I see a little mark heart-shaped. What is it in your opinion ? Seller...

One problem that I have with my K-3 is that the DR is too narrow for shooting portraits in bright daylight. Does anyone have tips for how to improve the DR? Do the K-1, K-3 II, or KP have better DR than the K-3?

Hello everyone, I acquired a K-1 lately and I'm looking for a comfortable bag for it. My old Tenba messenger DNA 11 which I used with K-3 II is (obviously) not large enough for it. I'm looking for a messenger-type bag that will have enough space for the camera, grip, up to 3 lenses (rather primes, but I may acquire the 70-200/2.8 sometime in the future) and up to 2 flashes. Space for a notebook or tablet is welcome, but not neccessary. Some way to attach a tripod/retractable light stand would...
