The XE3 comes with a external battery charger and supposedly (according to the manual) you can only charge the battery in-camera by plugging it in to the USB port of a computer... Just out of curiosity, I plugged my X70 adapter in to the XE3 micro USB and the indicator light came on (which usually indicates "charging"). I guess my question is, if it is in fact charging the battery in this manner, is it safe? Will it potentially cause damage to the XE3? Not sure of the risk involved, if...
Starting yesterday, my beloved GR is failing in some ways: The ADJ dial fails to work in some modes sometimes; esp., in P mode. I'm not sure I've ever used P mode before, but I have now. Also may happen in M mode. "Not working" means, when I depress the ADJ dial, the display disappears as soon as I remove my finger from the dial. I believe the image review button has sometimes failed to retain the display when I remove my finger from the button. I bought the camera in March 2015 and have...
Hey there, I’m heading to New York in a week and have booked a 15min doors off helicopter tour and trying to figure out what the best lense is to use on my xt2. i currently have the 35mm f1.4, 50mm f2 and the samyang 12mm f2. will also have my x70 to hand. debating with myself, if I should buy the 10-24mm but think I might just be using this as an excuse to get a new lense! any thoughts, hints or suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks
I am looking for suggestions for a good pocketable camera. A strong contender would be the X70 or its successor, if there ever will be one, as I really love the photos coming out of my X-T20. I also have a Sony RX100mk2 now, but the image quality and user interface could be better. Some of my criteria are... Image quality for photos (not interested in video performance).Good low light / indoor performance.Adjustable LCD screen for shooting from high/low positions.Compactness, to fit at least...
I currently use both a GR and a Panny lx100 for small cameras. I like the size of the GR, which I take with me more because of that, but I work better with the dial setup of the lx100. The x7 seems to marry together the things I like about both the other cameras. I use Photoshop and Lightroom for all my post work and I usually shoot raw. I haven't followed Fuji that much, but I have seen posts regarding using Adobe stuff with other cameras and not getting the most out of them vs. other...
I recently picked up an X-T2 with 18-55, 23 & 50 f2. Love the camera and especially those primes! I'd also really like a compact camera as an everyday carry. As such, I'm thinking of ditching the 18-55 and getting an X70 to cover that 18mm focal length. I'm already happy with the jump from 23 to 50. Plus it would be one less lens change. But....do people think that the X70 will get an update soon? Would they give that the 24mp sensor? Could they at this price range? Don't really...

I am a happy owner of an Instax Share SP-2 printer. I use an A9, which has zero in-camera image processing functions, and it couldn't print directly onto the Instax, unfortunately (Sony makes sensor for Fuji, in return Sony could cooperate with Fuji to get Instax printing support on Sony cameras, too). I used to have an X-A1, at that time I had no Instax printer, and I remember that it had quite decent in-camera image processing functions as well as direct Instax printing feature. Here are...
I am looking for a compact sized mirrorless camera that will fit in my jacket pocket for primarily travel and also shoot group/single person photos well. I came down to X70 or X100F. I know X70 has 25mm which is a wide angle lens which is great for street and scenery but when it comes to taking people, I'm assuming I'd have to crop a lot to get the view I want of the group or person. Is this not recommended? I'm willing to give away a bit of quality but not too much for portraiture photos if...
I recently posted parts of this in the Sony forum - asking about the HX90V - but got no answers. Hope I have more luck here! In 2009 I bought a Panasonic ZS3 (25 – 300 mm), which was great fun to use when I didn't want to carry my big Sony A700 and lenses around. I had trouble with the image quality though, and after about 8 months I sold it on. (I pixel-peeped a lot more back then.) As my main camera at the moment is the fixed lens 28mm Fujifilm X70, there are times when I feel the need for...
