I am looking for a compact sized mirrorless camera that will fit in my jacket pocket for primarily travel and also shoot group/single person photos well. I came down to X70 or X100F. I know X70 has 25mm which is a wide angle lens which is great for street and scenery but when it comes to taking people, I'm assuming I'd have to crop a lot to get the view I want of the group or person.  Is this not recommended? I'm willing to give away a bit of quality but not too much for portraiture photos if...

I recently posted parts of this in the Sony forum - asking about the HX90V - but got no answers. Hope I have more luck here! In 2009 I bought a Panasonic ZS3 (25 – 300 mm), which was great fun to use when I didn't want to carry my big Sony A700 and lenses around. I had trouble with the image quality though, and after about 8 months I sold it on. (I pixel-peeped a lot more back then.) As my main camera at the moment is the fixed lens 28mm Fujifilm X70, there are times when I feel the need for...

I had trouble with the image quality though, and after about 8 months I sold it on. As my main camera at the moment is the fixed lens 28mm Fujifilm X70, there are times when I feel the need for a bit of pulling power, so I've been thinking of getting a modern day version of the old ZS3. Panasonic sell a very small selection of cameras in Taiwan, but Sony...

Some time ago I read that Fuji would launch a successor to the X70, with the 24MP sensor, improved PDAF etc. Since then things have gone quiet. Has anyone here heard any well-sourced rumours about whether this camera is still likely to make production and if so, when?

As context, I compared the X-E1's LCD to the X-T10's LCD and the latter just wipes the floor with the former. Likewise with their EVFs. (The EVF is definitely worse.) It doesn't affect the end result, sure, but I'm mainly a hobbyist and this is decreasing my enjoyment of my hobby (it doesn't feel like I'm taking good images - it feels like I'm taking oversaturated images). I'm thinking about upgrading to the X-E2 to get a better LCD (well the Classic Chrome is a welcome addition as well), but...

I broke down and installed the Fujifilm app on my iPad and got my X70 connected. I selected 281 fine jpeg files to transfer to my iPad. The app says I'm transferring 0.4 Gb of information, or about 1.3Mb each. The files are much larger than that. Am I missing a setting that lets me transfer full-sized jpegs? Are resized jpegs all I get on a WiFi transfer? I sure hope not. Jim PilcherSummit County, Colorado, USALife is good in the woods. All paths lead forward.

I bought the x70 as I wanted something that was very portable with minimal bulk and an aps-c sensor. And then bought this case. https://www.amazon.ca/MegaGear-Protective-Leather-Fujifilm-Digital/dp/B01CYFDJ0Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493567198&sr=8-3&keywords=fujifilm+x70+case The case seems to be the standard size case available for the x70.  Here's my challenge.  (1) when adding something like a lens hood, there's no room in within the case.(2) There doesn't seem to be any cases that account...

I am currently using a Fuji X70 and I am really happy about the image quality and usability in daily life (it's always in my pocket). The focal length is perfect for catching all situations nearby (e.g. food on a table, buildings, people,...). I am now thinking about getting the Fuji X-T20 because it has the same APS-C sensor (which is good for low light) and its interchangeable lenses. Sometimes zooming would be helpful for me. The X70 has a very useful digital zoom, which I like, but the...

So I have the X100F and the TCL-X100ii. I just purchased an X70 and while I like the 28mm equiv focal length, I thought it would be neat to mount the TCL-X100ii on to it to get a rough 40mm equiv focal length. The problem is I'm getting massive vignette and distortion from my raw file. Setting the menu to wide-angle conversion ON reduces the vignette (I know this is for the WCL converter for the X70 but the vignette reduction still works) but the distortion is unchanged. I am able to fix most...

If you had your choice for a secondary or third camera that would be a carry-around, would you opt for? 100T X70 XT20 The reason I ask is that I own XT2/XP2 and while I love my XP2, I am looking to have a smaller camera that I can have on me at all times. Sorry but phone cameras don't do it for me. I'm thinking with the XT20 to keep it as small and light as possible is to just put the pancake on it. The other option would be to move away from fuji for this form factor and go with the Ricoh...
