This (and the other Optio Sxx-series) cameras are some of the most fun to use. There are many color effects filters that make picture-taking fun - even for a jaded professional photographer. After looking at a couple other $300 (Canadian) cameras I decided on the S45. I like the size and features for the price. The menu structure is very easy to use. The photo quality surprised me as well, it picks up the correct colors, tones and shades. The 2.5" screen is a feature every camera should have. Battery life is excellent, it comes with 2x 2000mAh rechargables, I'd buy a 2nd set. Problems: None with the camera. The charger that came with the unit is slow to charge. The manual says 14 ...
