The reviews are damning. After using Olympus Camedia whose lens cover tended to stick and didn't give me the quality of macro photography I wanted from a pocket digital, I purchased Pentax E10. Yes it is slow but it fits in a handbag and I've had great results of close-up flowers ( my specialty) and insects. Problem when taking images when most scarlet, colour/orange in strong light eg poppies, it' bleaches'. Pentax Optio E10
I bought this camera on vacation for a day-trip to a place where if it got trashed it wouldn't matter much and I didn't want to risk my "regular" gear. I chose Pentax because it always had a reliable lens, and that's to me the key.
