Hey guys so i recently bought a used gh4 off amazon, works well, but am having some issues. So i decided to skip the 4/3 lenses and go straight to the lens turbo ll focal reducer / speed booster, with a tamron 18-200 refurb lens.  So here are my problems Firstly i am shooting in no lens mode since i have a focal reducer on, this may play into my issues 1. i have no auto focus in any photo or video modes, i have continuous af on in the settings as well afs/aff or afc selected on the dial next...

I sold my D700 and lenses a couple of years ago, in favour of a Panasonice GH4 plus lenses. I so much like to use a camera at waist level, and sometimes below, that the lack of even a tilting mirror was a big downside to the D700. While the GH4 is an excellent camera, there are times when I really miss the something extra I saw in the best D700 images. When the D750 came out a couple of months later, I regretted selling the Nikon lenses, but too late. Now I'm considering adding either a...

Hi, I'm considering buying a Panasonic FZ1000 and/or a LX100. None feature a touch screen, and I was thinking about using the Panasonic Image App in some situations, such as pull focus when shooting videos. I stumbled upon this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFZAeZmGVhg which discusses the Image App + GH4 combo. At the 3:45 mark, the reviewer says he couldn't use the Image App + GH4 in 4K video mode. It's limited to 1080p. Does anyone knows if the situation is the same when...

What will be your pick for the best portrait lens for APSC or smaller sized sensor cameras that is light and well balanced with your mirrorless camera? (and perhaps also a lens money can buy not military class lenses or super rare lenses like the 50/0.7 used by Kubrick and NASA) The reason I added this weight restriction is because if I don't add this people might say the 200mm F2 or 300/2.8 or Sigma 50-100/1.8 or the Leica Noctilux 50/0.95 which don't balance well with even the bigger...

I'm looking for other people opinions.  Years ago I used to own the GF2 camera and I liked it a lot. When the camera was first released it didn't have the latest camera technology from Panasonic, instead the new camera was still using the 12-megapixel sensor. Months later the G3 came out later with another 16-megapixel sensor from Panasonic and prior to the GF2 release we had the GH2. However, what I loved about the GF2 was it form factor and how well it worked with prime lenses especially...

Why hasn't anyone made a battery grip for a mirrorless camera (or any camera) with a second card slot?  In fact, I'd be over the moon if the E-M1 successor had a completely modular grip side of the camera. A slim option with 1 battery and 1 slot for a trimmed down small package and a power option with "man sized" grip, 2 battery slots, 2 card slots and vertical portrait controls. (More GH4 sized). And sure... since you asked... the larger grip could have headphone and mic sockets too.  But...
