I'm an intermediate who makes short films and wants to also look into photography. My budget is $1000, so I am trying to decide between the gh4 or g85. I'd like 4k, a touchscreen, interchangable lens, and a mic port in any camera I get. I know the GH4 has slightly better image quality, but G85 has IBIS... which one should I get? If there is any other camera that's better than the two I'd be interested in it. Also, I wonder if I should look for a camera with a bigger sensor...

Hi everyone, I bought a G85 a few months ago and am enjoying it. I've discovered that one feature I really love is time lapse. This creates a problem in that my G85 now spends a lot of time on a tripod, leading me to think that a second body would be a good idea. I strongly prefer a Panasonic body for my second, mainly to have a consistent interface and because I really like Pana's time lapse implementation. I'm torn between: - Used G6, G7, GH3 or GH4 w/ battery grip as a dedicated time-lapse...
Is the photo numbering system in sequence or does it change automatically or is it something I have to set in the GH4. Due to Family issues I have not used my GH4 since I bought it new in 2016 but now I find numbers started in the 300s (was there a previous owner ???) I had a Nikon D40 and just stored the photos on CDs and now I find the photo numbering system changed once in a while and I want to make sure my GH4 doesn't do that My GH4 works fine and its too late to question the missing...
Hi, i just bought the panasonic lumix GH4 and im looking for the right lens. i really like the 35-100mm f2.8 and 12-35mm f2.8 ii . but im not sure which one of them to buy. i mainly going to film a cooking videos in 4k or full HD but i will also make some portraits and probably will use this lens when im traveling. * i just started to learn about making videos and i don't have much knowledge and experience about cameras and lenses so i would love to hear some advice. thank you!
With all of my previous cameras. Which included various modes of Sony RX-100, Canon 6D, 5D Mark IV, Panasonic GH4 I'm usually able to control aperture while filming. Based on what I did with the GH4, I set my new GH5s to [camera-icon]M mode. I don't find "Exposure mode S" where it used to be on the GH4. Actually I don't find it anywhere. Am I missing something? Thank you
Hey all, Any time I leave the GH4 without battery for a few days, once I turn it back on, the time/date has been forgotten. The manual says to leave a battery in the cam for 24 hours to recharge it : I have done that, but the phenomenon still happens a few days later (not 3 months!). In case this built-in battery is actually wasted, can one replace it ? Thanks! --MichaelCurrent work : MIKRO, the Aliens from Earth (self produced)https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC71RypUFAfLnXEVIzw-llA

Hi everyone, Would you be so kind to let me know your personal opinion on the following 2 points ? 1. what is the average selling price I should sell my Panasonic GH4 body for these days (in great condition of course) ? 2. what is the Sony Alpha camera that is most widely accepted to be more video-oriented under the $2500 budget mark ? Thanks a lot for your feedbacks !
Hi, Could someone please help confirming my calculation ? Is the following correct ? >>> On a GH-4 M43 camera, the obtained angle of view on the sensor will be smaller with this Laowa 15mm ( https://www.venuslens.net/product/laowa-15mm-f/ ) than on this Lumix 14-45mm ( https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/657970-REG/Panasonic_H_FS014045_Lumix_G_Vario_14.html ) ? That is surprising to me as the Laowa is a wide angle lens, and the Lumix isn't, but if I understand correctly, because of the...
