Last night at my regular club meeting I went to use my GH3 and FL500 and the flash would not fire.  Checked the usual culprit (E-shutter), rubbed the contacts with a cloth but all to no avail. I had this problem once before - shortly after visiting White Island (active volcano in NZ) about 14 months ago and believe the corrosive atmosphere probably caused the problem.  (Sister-in-law lost the sole of her shoe....)  A good rub with a little CRC brought it back to life that time and had been...

I'm looking for other people opinions.  Years ago I used to own the GF2 camera and I liked it a lot. When the camera was first released it didn't have the latest camera technology from Panasonic, instead the new camera was still using the 12-megapixel sensor. Months later the G3 came out later with another 16-megapixel sensor from Panasonic and prior to the GF2 release we had the GH2. However, what I loved about the GF2 was it form factor and how well it worked with prime lenses especially...

Hi, I like my GR with and without GW3 converter, but I find the process of attaching the GW3 converter and GH-3 adapter to each other quite bothersome in the field. It just involves too much fiddling with cases/boxes/plastic bags which are used to carry the GH3+GW3 combo. I'd like to carry my  GW-3 +GH-3 combo always attached to each other in a lens pouch and to attach it only when needed. Unfortunately my GH3 came without the rear cap, so the dust from the pouch always finds it way to...

This is a problem with video in FZ300, GX7, GH3. This is not covered in the manuals (I looked - all there is, is a way to *add* date/time stamp to still images, not videos, *after* taking them). I just found out (after many, many videos) that there is a “hidden” date/time stamp embedded in videos taken with FZ300, GX7, GH3 and probably other Panasonic cameras. It does not appear when viewing videos in camera, nor on computer with VLC, Windows Media Player, etc. I first saw it when I used...

I am in the process of booking my first wedding. I'm excited and slightly apprehensive. The GX7 is my one and only camera at the moment but I'm trying to get my hands on a second-hand GH3 as a second body/backup. So my question is, who out there shoots weddings with m43? Are there any limitations I should be aware of? And of course, post some shots from your weddings too thanks --Dillon FrazierFrazier Imagery

Anyone know of a glass screen protector for Panasonic Lumix G7. I've seen glass screen protectors listed in ebay for GH3.  Would this fit screen of G7?  Thanks for any help.

Hello, All, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced what might be termed lateral jumps when shooting video (panning) with the FZ300. I just got the camera and so far it's mostly good.  4K video is very clean and sharp whether on a 17" computer monitor or a 55" 4K TV. The 5-axis stabilization is outstanding; I shot a full minute of hand-held AVCHD 60p video (ocean waves) at about 300mm zoom, keeping the camera aimed at one spot, and you would think it was done with a tripod. Rock-steady. Also...

Short version: I bought a Panasonic G7 and want to know what cheap used lenses to look for that work with my camera. Read on at your own discretion. Otherwise meet me in the last paragraph and give your opinion. I am a proud new owner of a Panasonic G7 (with 14-42 kit lens) and so far I like everything about it. But as I look toward the future, I want to make sure I fully understand the M43 world as I am a complete neophyte. First, a little about my camera experience and goals. If you find...

Here's the problem:  In a few months time I will be going to an outdoor car show which is very big and very popular. The idea is to have a primary camera to shoot display cars and other subjects on display. The second camera is set up to shoot cars on the track. Oh yeah there is one additional problem I will be with a group of friends and the motarheads will be leading the pack.  I got a limited space left in my camera bag since camera A and camera B taking most of the room. Camera A is GH3 +...
