Since my question is specifically about the use of the new Tammy lens on 6D body, I hope this will be the most suitable section. Does anyone have "horror stories" about the new 70-200mm f2.8 G2 on 6D? And I mean stories about af issues or anything like that. I'm considering the idea of starting to save up some money to buy a 70-200 f2.8. The Tamron is clearly cheaper and so far all the reviews have been positive, but before investing in that I'd like to make sure that no one has had issues...

Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a quandry and would really appreciate any help or suggestions you can provide.I am trying to decide between getting a combination of the Tamron 35 1.8 SP VC and Tamron 85 1.8 SP VC, or just getting the Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2.Here's some info about what I currently have and what I will be shooting:I shoot with a Nikon D610 and currently own the kit 24-85mm 3.5-4.5 VR lens, and a 50mm 1.8 D lens.I mainly shoot portraits (headshots, etc...) and events (birthday...

Hi everybody, I am using Contax G2 + G45mm f/2 + G90mm f/2.8 and the Sony A6000. I've read many review of that adapter for the contax G mount lens on Sony a6300 and a7ii, but there's no information about how it works on the a6000. So is there anybody use this ta-ga3 on a6000 and can you share your experience ? why there's no review on that camera ? Thanks you all.

So I just purchased the Pixel TW-283/DC0 Wireless Remote for my D500 in hopes of getting some keepers next week in north GA shooting the solar eclipse. I'm looking for any recommend settings for both the wireless device and settings necessary for the D500? In testing it yesterday it didn't seem to make any difference when I set the shutter delay on the remote, trying delay times anywhere from 1"-10". I then set the D500 delay to 1", 2" & 3" and it worked on all 3? so it seems the D500 is...

I've been going over sample photos for long range telephotos. I gathered some for the Tamron 150-600mm G2, and the Sigma 150-650mm, which seems as far as I can tell so far is just a tad sharper more often than the Tamron, so between the two I'd probably prefer the Sigma. Then of course there's that beautiful $6000 new, $5100 used Canon 300mm F2.8 IS II USM, which just isn't going to be an option for me anytime soon. I certainly can admire it from afar though, it really is something. So I was...

Until I can snap up both a long tele AND D500, I'm thinking to settle for a tele and use my kenko 2X as needed in the meantime. That said, should I -hunt down 2-500 for the constant aperture (and I try not to shoot below f/11-13 in daylight anyway) -150-600 G2? -or the more interesting route of 500/4P and maybe snap up the TC16A and mod it to work w/ ditigal for an extra fun little project? I like the P series from my 45/2.8, and always wanted a proper tele, but at the same time new zooms...

Hello Savants, Normally a lens plus a converter won't match one without a converter, but in this case, given that the Sony costs twice what the Tamron does, I wondered if the 70-400 + 1.4 converter would equal or surpass the new Tamron.  There would be much more usefulness in the Sony if the converter did a great job.  Has anyone seen a comparison with the Tamron with sony adapter?

I find myself mulling over the subject question after picking up my A99ii, and I am curious what the hive mind would do in my situation. I love wildlife and action shooting (boats, cars, people, etc), so i have made it a point to have a good lens for that.  Many years ago, i was able to grab a Sigma 300mm 2.8 EX for a reasonable price, and have used it for years with my A900. Now with the new camera, i wonder if this is still the best lens for me. Some background info: This is a first gen...
