I just received this lens, open the box and exam the lens. Everything is new, the Zoom ring is very stiff that require a bit of force to zoom one end to another. Is this normal for a Tamron new lens, and it will loosing up overtime as being used? If not, what is solution you may suggest? or it is a defect copy? When I add a Rode shotgun mic to my FZ2000, it shows as stereo (left and right channels flicker. However, when I add Sennheiser ew 100 G2 radio mic, it only shows a mono (one channel) I have tried both cables in each and same happens as above. Bit confused, can any shed any light on this? ian

I want to calibrate a newly purchased Tamron 150-600 G2 with my Canon 5D III. I used Focal Pro to calibrate my other lenses, which are all Canon, and the results are great. I have a 24-70, 70-200, 50, & 85. I've calibrated the Tamron using Focal, but that only allows me to calibrate at the wide and long end. Trying to use the tap-in console leaves my head spinning and I could use some advice on a good calibration workflow using the console. For instance, I've set my Focal adjustments in the...
Hello.I need an advice, cause I want to upgrade my 7yo Panasonic G2.I must say that it has always worked fine for me, but now I'm looking for something better and with image stabilization.I'm actually looking at Olympus E-M1, Olympus E-M10 II and Panasonic G80/G85. I'm into street photography, portraits and landscapes, almost not into video at all and I always use viewfinder instead of screen. Here the lenses I have:- lumix 20 1:1.7/20 (1st version)- lumix 45-150 1:4.0-5.6(+ a fun fujian...
I've got about $1400 to spend on a 70-200. I'm leaning mostly towards the Nikon 70-200 f/4 and Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 G2. I've not handled either one of these specific lenses yet, and I don't have long term experience with either Tamron or Nikon lenses so I wouldn't really know what I'm looking at even if I did have them in-hand. The 70-200 will get a lot of use, and my biggest interest is durability and long-term "fixability" (if I can have it repaired years down the line). Focus speed seems...

(intro: skip to the ******** to get to the question) I do Motorsports photography at my local race track. With the distances I am working with, I find my most used lenses are my 28-70 f/2.8 (really an f/4 as f/2.8 is rubbish) and my 70-200 (recently bought the Tamron G2, love it) As I have two bodies, a D7200, and a D600, I have to decide if I want a 42-105/70-200 combo, or 28-70/105-300 combo. Truthfully said, I appreciate both configurations, and know that depending on where I stand I can...

Hello good people, I am in a dilemma and I hope you good people can help me to make a sane decision. I am really new to photography and currently going through a G.A.S (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) Phase. I got a D5300, a 35mm and a 50mm (Youngnuo Chinese lenses...so didn't break the bank) a Nikon 18-200 kit lens and recently I bought a Nikon 85mm f1.8G because I love taking portraits and everywhere it says the 85mm is the standard for portraits, and after trying it I am loving that lens. No...
