Have anyone try Tamron 24-70 F2.8 G2 with A7rii passing MC-11. 1. What about focus speed on photo and video mode? 2. Can we use Eye-af?

Hello, New to the forum, have a question pertaining to a potential upgrade from my current Nikon 70-200 2.8 version 1, to the new Tamron 70-200G2. Spending most of my time shooting sports, inside and out. Love the Nikon, reading numerous reviews touting the "fast" focus on the G2. I occasionally miss shots with the older VR. Currently using the D7100, upgrading to the D500 or going full frame...another post for another day. Thanks in advance

I have just made some tests with my Tamron 24-70 2.8 g2 with Nikon d750. Since i did not make any so much detailed focus test untill now, i am not sure if i should and if any how much fine tune the AF of the lens.. The images look quite similar to me (difference between live view vs. view finder focus). I have made the all tests from a 45 degree view with from a focus distance of 0.38m with the focal lengths 24,35,50,70mm. And from a focus distance of 1m with the same focal lengths. (0.38m...

Going on a trip out on the islands of Philippines and I want to travel light. I'd like to be able to back up my SD cards locally on a Sandisk SSD. I am very close to buying a cheap Kingston MobileLite G2 for just $35 or so but I am not sure about the backup robustness and user friendliness. App seems so so and transfer time really slow. Thus I got the idea to (just for back up and browsing pictures) buy a cheap used Android device, phone or tablet and combine it with a OTG USB/SD hub. (I'm...

Hi to all forum mates, Which one of the above 3 mentioned androids/mobiles to buy that is somehow better than the other device  and run my job when it exclusively comes to shoot a  Music Video Song that is of broadcast quality and is acceptable by the media houses, For me all of them are almost the very same but the experts in this forum might me me a better advice before i go ahead and purchase and I regret after I buy. The music video will entirely be worked on post production and I am not...

I own an APS-C camera. That is not going to change in the foreseeable future.  However, I'm thinking to get a new lens. I'm still using the kit lens, but I want something with bigger aperture. A few months ago I was considering the Sigma 17-70 mm f2.8-4 as an upgrade for the price point and range, but I did not buy it. Now that Black Friday is approaching, I'm hoping to take advantage on the amazon discounts and get me a new lens. I have seen the reviews for the new Tamron 24-70mm G2 and was...

There are open box, fully warrantied 24-70mm g1s in Canada for $1000 after tax whereas the G2 is $1700 after tax at the lowest. Is that last bit of optical performance, focus speed and a stop more of VC really worth $700?  I'm leaning towards that it is worth it because you'll be using the good glass for several years or longer and you never know what great shots you might miss out due to equipment limitations that you could have gotten with slightly better lenses.  Just looking for various...

Does anyone use or have experience with Tokina's 24-70 2.8 on the A7rii with either the sigma or other adapters? How is AF and all that good stuff? Also any thoughts on 24-70 Tokina vs Tameron welcome! G1 not G2 - looking for budget 24-70 but still with good IQ. Cheers all,

Im looking to buy the tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2 for my canon 80d as i cant find any reviews on Dxo mark i wanted to ask how is the sharpness of the lens compared to the canon 70-200 f2.8 or is it worth considering the sigma 50-100mm f1.8 because the tamron 70-200 f2.8 G1 the sharpness is on par with the sigma 50-100mm f.18

Hi all, As you might know, Canon is running a 2 lens rebate promotion for some of their lenses ($150 each if you buy 2 lenses), along with some discounts. The first lens I wanted to get was the 24-70mm II f/2.8 ($1430-ish). But to the point of this post, I was also hoping to pick up the Canon 135mm f/2.0 L for mosaics and taking pictures of specific regions of the sky on my iOptron Skyguider Pro with Sony A7RII and recently acquired Canon SL2 But the cost is high even after rebate/discount...
