As the subject states, does anyone know if the latest version of Tamron's 70-200mm f/2.8 lens will work properly with the Kenko 1.4x Teleplus Pro 300 DGX teleconverter? I'm having trouble finding exact confirmation anywhere online. I already own the Kenko TC and I'm strongly considering buying this Tamron lens. However, I will unfortunately have to pass on it if it doesn't work with anything other than Tamron's own teleconverters. While I assume that it will work just fine, we all know what...
Ok here's my issue, I can't seem to get tack sharp images when I shoot subjects at a distance. Maybe its just me and i'm expecting too much from my gear. Ive tried micro adjusting and nothing seems to help make an image sharper. Ive never had this problem shooting a 70-200 but ever since I bought a 400mm 5.6 nothing seems sharp. I recently rented a Tamron 150-600 G2 to see if my 400mm had something wrong with it but that didn't help either. Am I doing something wrong? Viewing normally...
I have reading posts about using the FT1 with tamron 150-600 G2 on a V2. From what I have read it sees to work. I have a question as to what FT1 firmware works with the tamron FT1 firmware 1.1 or 1.2? Has anyone used a V3 with the tamron 150-600 G2 with success? If so what firmware on the FT1? I have a V3 and a tamron 150-600 G2 and tamron 100-400 that I use with DX and FX bodies. i have not purchased an FT1 yet to try with my V3 and tamron lens. So looking for info before I decide to buy...
I rented a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2 in Nikon mount last week for an event. The lens seemed nice and I got some good pics, but I was constantly switching from portrait to landscape orientation to get the right shot. The tripod collar was very "clicky" at certain points as I rotated the camera on my monopod, not smooth at all. I had loosened the collar up and it was bouncy and the clickiness was still there. It was like it had a strong detent position for horizontal and vertical. Nice if you...
Hi All, This is probably a dumb question but I wonder if someone can provide some light to it.. I used to have an old crop Nikon D5000 and the Vivitar extension tubes for macro. These have the connectors. They worked ok when working on the D5000 and nikon kit lenses. I recently switched to Nikon FF and got a couple of tamron G2 lenses (for the testcase I am using the 24-70 G2). When attaching the vivitar extension tubes to the tamron lens it is not able to focus. Even If I try to...
Hello, I am a hobbyist photographer interested in buying 70-200 f2.8 (constant aperture) to use with my Nikon D500. I mainly shoot wildlife portraits with my 300mm F4 and would like something that does better in low light and gives me some flexibility to shoot at different ranges. The two lenses I am comparing are: Used - Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G AF-S VR II Nikkor ED-IF Lens (is $1,600 a good deal for an E+ rated lens on Adorama)? New - Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 ($1,199 with rebate...

So I frequently shoot shore birds with my Tamron 150-600 G2 and 1.4x teleconverter on a Nikon D850. I'm considering adding a 95mm circular polarizer to cut down on glare. But, wondering about the benefit versus the resulting loss of light transmission. Is anyone using a similar combination? Thank you...
Hi There, I am new in photography and shot events were people are moving almost all the time. So I mostly use my flashes in TTL mode. This mode gives me some good results and bad ones. When shooting event like wedding I need to be sure I get good result all the time. I Shoot mostly African American and I have noticed I get better result with TTL when I focus on someone with less dark skin. With darker skin, my pictures are always under exposed and badly noised. I know I can focus on the eye...
