Compact kit lens, takes a good photo in the right light but as soon as you are inside or it gets to dusk it under performs. Weakest element is performance in low light. Strongest element is compact and relatively easy zoom toggle but focusing manual is not as good (design). It is centre sharp but has strong vignette and the colours go completely off in low light. I know that this lens is highly acclaimed on many MFT cameras; that's why I bought it as a kit with my Panasonic GX1. To make a long story short: On the GX1, this is a piece of junk. It gave me roughly 80% blurred photos, and the 20% keepers were just so-so. Very compact and light, I find this pancake zoom lens performs reasonably well, considering the complex construction and miniscule size. It starts up fast. Distortion and CA are not a major issue in most situations and flare is well controlled. There is very noticeable light fall off in the corners at certain settings however (despite the built in shading compensation correction on the GX1).
