Hey there, i can't find it in the menu and a google search only leads to discussion forums about adobe software and adobes lens profiles. So, is there an option to turn the lens correction for jpegs off in the camera itself? I'm using a e-m5ii with an Olympus 12-40 Pro and a Panasonic 25 1.4. Cheers, mfcam

Hi everyone, First all, love the forum, one of the few places I make sure to check every day. Now, to the background: I have been trying to figure out my ideal lens setup for as long as I can remember. I currently have a Panny 7-14, the Oly 12-40 f2.8, and the Panny 35-100 f2.8. I'm pretty happy with the setup - a good wide angle, a weatherproof do it all lens (weatherproof is nice here in Nova Scotia), and a fast telephoto that I use as my go-to portrait/wildlife lens. Recently however I...

As per the title, I can't decide between the Panasonic 20mm F1.7, Panasoinc-Leica 25mm F1.4 or the Olympus 25mm F1.8. Between reading several comparisons, the main merits seem to be as follows: PL25 F1.4: 0.66EV Brighter than the others Cleanest and smoothest bokeh Lens Hood provided Oly25 F1.8: Fastest and most silent autofocus Sharper performance corner to corner at wider apertures Least chromatic aberrations P20 F1.7: Some also claim this to have better bokeh than the PL25 F1.4 but it...

Hi all, this will be a long thread so I've highlighted the important parts! I know there have been countless threads on this, and I have read a ridiculous number over the past week (I've learnt so much new lingo and even started a Google Doc to keep track of all the different comments and suggestions!) But I haven't exactly found one that matches my scenario so I decided to take the plunge and enter the world of dpreview forums... I'm a student and this will be the first time I've ever bought...

I'm looking to take some photos of my infant and get semi-serious in my amateur photography. I've decided on the OMD E-M10 for this and will be purchasing this with the 12-40mm PRO lens. My question: I want to take some photos with a shallow DOF for the infant. Will the 12-40mm Pro be sufficient or should I also pick up a prime and if so, which one? I've been researching the Pany 25mm 1.4 and I'm not convinced it will give me that much difference in photos from the 12-40mm pro. Your...

Hello, recently bought a Olympus OD-M10 with M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 EZ. In the few days I fould this zoom too short and not good at night. Am going to a once-in-a-lifetime Africa trip with wildlife, landscapes, people. Also, other favourite subjects are my children (portraits, football games, concerts) as well as mountains, cities. These are the (all Olympus m43) lenses I am getting: - The 14-150 to be "always" ready without having to change lenses in the dusty Namibian desert. -...

I noticed that the pictures taken with my new Panasonic 25mm lens are not automatically rotated by the camera. or, perhaps the rotation info is not added to the files. this works fine with my other lenses, all of which have OIS. is this normal on the GH2? I dug in the menus and did not find any setting controlling this. will i have to manually rotate pictures taken in portrait orientation with non-stabilized lens? i thought that there might be some internal accelerometer measuring the...

I just spent 4 days with the Panasonic/Leica 25mm, comparing/contrasting to my 12-50 OM-D kit lens. As expected, the IQ of the 25mm is stunningly good; the ability to shoot wide open and soften/blur the background was a revelation; the ability to shoot low light amazing. It is as good as the reports say. But now the question: is anybody using only one prime on the OM-D or comparable MFT camera? I accept the greater flexibility of the zoom, and the ideal setup would be a range of primes, but...
