Why cant lens and camera manufactures make a proper 16-85mm lens for full frame? I dont mean 24-120mm, i mean an actual 16-85mm? If it can be done on cameras such as the Lumix DMC-FZ70 or Powershot SX60HS, why cant they make it on an M43, APS-C or full frame? Are there any actual physical limitations to making a lens like this or do camera manufacturers want us to spend money on multiple lenses?

Does Panasonic operate a factory service center. I having a problem with my FZ70 and the best human contact was "chat", which didn't fix the problem. Finally, I found a service center on the website? called McAllen Exchange Cnt. Strange. No phone number, website or other info about sending lithium battery with the camera. Canon has a service center staffed by people you can talk with and a Canon factory service center. Must admit, not too impressed if this is Panasonic Service. My .02 Greg

Bought a FZ70 for $149 including memory card and bag. Never used a bridge superzoom and my expectations were modest. I took just few test pics in jpg. Is RAW helpful with this camera? At the whopping max zoom, I shot at 1/500 with a monopod and iso 250. Pics didn't look very good at 100% view, but with some unsharp mask applied, a 4x6 was excellent and an 8x10 was good with some blur noticeable in the upper right edge. Pics taken at slower shutter speeds were worse. Pics taken at less than...

Happy Holidays to All. I just sold off my Sony A65 system. Was looking for a traveling companion. I saw the G12 refurbished On the Canon site for 149.00. Thought it seemed like a good although dated camera. Received it a few days ago. Impressed with the image and build quality. Of course buyers remorse settles in. Would I be better off with something like a Lumix DMC FZ70? Also during a chat the rep said their refurbs had the same warranty as new cameras. Thought that was great. In the box it...

I thought there is a way, after you take a picture, to record a short note about the picture, that you can play back later. Is there a way to do this with the FZ70? I looked through the manual and couldn't find anything. Thanks --Gary BeckwithLumix FZ35 hobbyist

Hi, I always used a Panasonic Lumix TZ camara last years and I was very exited by this camara. Now I have this new camara FZ70. I just bought it. But I notice many pictures are not sharp and I dont know what I can do about it. For example I wanted to take a pic of a bird which was sitting stil and I did zoom (optical) in (on clear daylight), hold my hand stil but the picture was not 100% sharp. Then I also tried to take pictures of my cockatiel which was sitting stil inside the cage. I...

I am running El Capitan, with zero problems, on an iMac.  However, when viewing pictures in the Photos App, I have the following problem that I don't recall having with iPhoto. When I zoom a photo' to 100% some look fine whilst others appear pixellated and blurry. This does not seem to be camera dependent as I have photos taken with an LX100, FZ1000, FZ70 and an X100.  I have also examined a selection of photos going back over the past 5 years and this problem appears to be quite random.  Any...

Hi everyone, I'm a noob at cameras and just bought this camera since from the reviews and pics they all have great shots of the moon. Since this is why I wanted to get this type of camera because of the details in the shots. I was wondering if anyone has used this type of camera to try and take pictures of planets? I asked this since I saw that the Canon SX50 HS is able to take really amazing shots of Jupiter, Saturn, and maybe Venus. Is it possible with the Panasonic FZ70 camera? Thank you...

Hi, apologies in advance for being a bit of a noob, I've always been into photography, but never had anything better than the best mobile phone camera i can get, so thought I'd invest in a Bridge camera as the price point is a good starting point for me. So I'm now the owner of a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ72/70 I've been watching lots of tutorials, reading manuals and been trying lots of trial and error but the one thing I don't seem to be able to get the grip of is capturing a subject that's...
