Is there a zoom lens in the M4/3 range that has a macro option? I just can't put my hands on one. I have got so accustomed to the macro option on the Panasonic FZ range with the zoom lenses fitted to them that I am just having a near breakdown trying to put a flexible macro system together for my GX8. I am currently tied to my FZ50 macro zoom, and the flexibility that it offers me. Is there another way that someone can show or describe to me to wean me off the FZ50 macro zoom?
I am still using Windows XP with Corel Pro Photo X3 for my editing. Would I be able to load Raw images from the FZ1000? or JPEG images only? using the software provided with the FZ1000? I have an FZ50 which came with Photo Expression software which I have used for jpegs, but have never shot Raw with the FZ-50. Thank you in advance for any input. Charles Baxter --slowbutsteady
My first Panasonic camera in 10 years since I had an FZ50. I just ordered from B&H an LX7; the $248 price was hard to pass up as I was in the market for a "supplemental" camera for casual, quick snapshots, etc. to accompany my collection of Nikon DSLRs and longer lenses. I chose it over the LX-100 since the price is now $800 (I missed the Christmas sale). I also chose it for the lens performance and the fact that it has RAW capabilities. For what I need, 10 MP is just fine. I did NOT order a...

The FZ50 had the ability to record audio with a still image, or to allow the user to add audio to a still image. According to imaging-resource's review of the time: "Audio Recording: When enabled, allows the camera to record five seconds of audio with each still photo. (Audio recording isn't available when shooting auto bracket, burst mode or when quality is set to RAW.)" "Audio Dub.: Lets you record a brief audio clip to attach to the currently reviewed image." Does the FZ1000 have this...

Being a DSLR user for several years, I was waiting to go m43rds for a long time, one of the main reasons was the EVF. I always hated to have to review in the LCD the pictures I take. I do mostly wildlife, and I've lost uncountable many pictures due to wrong exposure. WIth my old FZ50, horrible EVF by today standards, I virtually never missed the exposure, since half-pressing the shutter shows me what will be recorded. Now, I got an EM1 expecting for the same. Indeed, in M mode, I see live the...
