Five years ago, I walked into my local store ready to buy either an LX100 or an FZ1000.  I chose the LX, but always had the FZ on the backburner.  Last year, I gave myself a Christmas present.  I intended the FZ1000 to be my go to camera during outdoor events.  Once spring came, the parades, festivals, and street fairs came with the warmer weather, and my FZ1000 was ready. Are bridge cams still relevant?  Absolutely!  There's only one interchangeable lens with this range from wide to tele, ...

The FZ1000 is in my opinion the most versatile and useful cameras I've ever owned. It's been halfway around the world with me on sandy beaches, freezing cold in  Iceland, boiling hot in Spain. It's turned out good photo's in Cathedrals , Castles and  Dungeons without flash. I even did a wedding with it ,the bride and groom loved the mix of stills and videos, the guests never knew what or which I was taking. I've even dropped it from waist height onto it's lens although it had the hood on ...

I recently bought a Lumix FZ-1000 new as a Christmas present to my self; my most recent digital camera is about 15 years old(!), and is not a patch on this Lumix. Even though this is actually a 4 year old camera that was still in stock at a store, it still caused me to sit a lot, after trying something out that I had read in the manual, with my mind blown quite a lot.  To give you an idea, my other digital cameras have been a Fujifilm s602zoom, a Konica Minolta 7D, and a Sigma SD9. Comparing ...

I've owned Bridge cameras since 2004, the first being the Canon Pro1, which did me well until 2008 when i upgraded to the Fuji S100FS - A Superb camera! It had its weaknesses & quirks of course, but its strengths balanced things out. It served me well until early 2015, when i up-ed again to the FZ1000. It was like a quantum leap in capabilities compared to the Fuji. Even ignoring the 4K video capability, this camera has so many Mid-level DSLR features and settings it's not funny! When ...

Good morning all. Bought the camera very nicely used by a gentleman very much into street photography who bought it for his wife . I needed a smaller camera to bring everywhere with me and which would be allowed in sports events and even potentially on concerts. Originally looking for a compact but was worried about the extremely small sensors. The first League 1 match did not work well. I had not read the use manual ( in Portuguese) so the settings were way off. The pictures, however, were fine.

I'll keep this simple. This camera is amazing. I've owned several long zoom enthusiast cameras, but all had a 2/3 sensor. The 1" sensor plus an excellent quality zoom lens and superior auto focus make this camera a real winner. I continue to be amazed by the quality of shots it takes under a wide range of conditions.

I started a couple of years ago with a nikon d3200 plus a couple of lenses. I was not really satiefied with the weight and versatility. I then bought a canon sx 60 which I really liked but the quality for landscapes was a bit disappointing. Most of the times I use the camera on my cycle tours. I have been using the fz1000 now for a couple of months and the quality of my work is really improved. It is great all in one camera. Thanks to the great leica lens the quality of the images is not ...

Where do I start when talking about this camera? I purchased it a couple months ago as I was tired of carrying around so much gear. I was using a Canon 1D Mk3 with Canon L glass and found that when hiking in a trail to shoot pictures of a waterfall I was really feeling it, as I am not as young as I once was. One thing That I have come to love is the articulating screen, something that was not on the Canon. The picture quality in good light situations I find is very good. I have been less ...

I've had this a year. It's not perfect but as an all-in-one goes, it's fantastic. Great sharp lens, very good AF, 10fps, fabulous video, fabulous image stabilisation, quiet (can be silent), light, easy to use, good on battery. One of my favourite ever cameras.

Best all-round camera out there. Fits great in my hand and for the decent price it truly delivers. MADE IN JAPAN iI love that. Wish they could have made it waterresistant. Some have complained that it is plastic feeling. Buy hey it has held up great it sure can take some beating. This camera is a keeper even if have bought some 4K Sonys.
