Newbie q - I am under the impression that the Micro_4/3 although having a smaller sensor compared to aps-c, will contain full image with the use of standard fitted lenses. I am a Pentax owner and looking for a compact travel camera like Omlympus PEN E-PL6 --Thanks, JK

Hi all I have oly point and shoots with nice art filter video. But it's not clear on the net if this filters work well on the epl6 too. It seems that frame rate is dropping a lot . Is there an epl6 owner who can tell more about this. I like most pinhole and dramatic tone filters........ Thanks for reply emmanuel

On the Pens, you can set the dial direction in the menu to [Custom B>Dial Direction>Menu>] either (1) CCW or (2) CW to go to the next item in the menu.  I use (2), since, down in the menu and CW suits me. With my E-PL3, this has no effect on selection in the SCP, but on my E-PL6, it does!  For example, when selecting IS in the SCP on the E-PL3, CW turns generate the sequence [Off -> IS1 -> IS2 -> IS3], and this is independent of the dial direction setting in menus. With my E-PL6, using dial...

I purchased a Nikon J1 for family photos and vacations and then upgraded to a Nikon V1 shortly after. I love the size and speed of the Nikon 1 system but now I have the ever popular itch to upgrade. As a guest here for years, I've been reading & learning and have over time added street photography, some landscape photography, and family portraits to my very amateurish range of skills/tastes. Current Gear: Nikon V1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 (2) 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 10mm f/2.8 18.5mm f/1.8 Watch...

I've been looking into getting a mirrorless rangefinder-form camera but I can't shell out a lot of money, so I found these 3 options that are within the budget I have. I tried finding comparisons & reviews but none were helpful, especially for the E-PL6. Background info: I'm not a photography beginner; I've been doing photography & using an SLR for years, but I'm looking for something that is more portable, so I do understand the technical differences between the cameras but the problem is...

Is there any way to get a PEN with this kit lens? Was it ever made available as a kit in the U.S.? I really like how compact it is.  http://www.dpreview.com/articles/7682237330/olympus-takes-pen-e-pl6-beyond-asia In fact, that's one thing that has me leaning a little toward the Sony NEX line - he newer 16-50 lens is really flat. I'd prefer an Olympus (because of IBIS) if I could get a flatter lens. I could buy the lens outright, but it's nearly the cost of the camera/lens combos I'm lookinga at.
