I'm making a custom belt from two original FourThirds neck straps (originally sold with the E-1 I believe). I have one strap and all the leather parts sown up and am not looking for another original strap to finish the project. I thought it would be easy to find, but it's not really. The original neck strap had the 4/3rds logo embossed on the ends. The letters on the strap are embroidered (rather than painted) and the white pin stripes down the side of the are what I would call "pixelated"...
Let me start by saying that i do own a canon 1dx + a GPS E-1 unit + a couple batteries (LP-E4) and i am wondering whether or not to have it replaced by a 5d mark IV, while the value of the 1dx is still acceptable. I think if adding the extra batteries and the GPS unit, i might be able to get it for roughly the same price. I do mainly landscape and travel photography (cityscape), and just sporadically i shot birds, and sports, but these are a minor fraction of the pictures i take. Photography...
I have bought two E-1's off of ebay and I think that they are some of the best investments I could have made. I was already invested in four thirds and I wanted another body so I hunted around and came to the conclusion that I wanted a big camera with a button for everything to make manual operation faster (I don't know how mirrorless people use a camera without a button for everything). I love the two cameras they still work great. They are slower nothing is instant like is pretty much is on...
Hello forum members, may be one of the old memners here can help. I´ve got my old E-100 RS from the attic. Everything is still working except for the backup battery which buffers the clock / calendar and the settings of the camera. Now when I switch the thing to off and later to on again, time / date and everything else defaults to zero. Does anybody know where this backup battery is located in the camera and what type number this lithium battery is ? I´d like to replace it and use the camera...
I'm making a belt and having a bit of a time finding an original 4/3rds strap for a reasonable price. A belt requires 2 straps that are identical. The one in the belt I believe came with my E-1 and it has a embroidered logo and 4/3rds emblem on the end of the strap. Also a larger weave. The other strap in the picture I ordered on ebay. The picture was correct, but when it arrived it was a newer version that is different. So do any of you have an extra original strap they don't want. I could...

Hello, has anybody still using this combo or has any experience how it works together? now have only old 14-45 lens which is slow in low light and OM lenses- also 28/2.8 (which somehow don't use on E-1), considering also 14-54 lens which I sold with other lenses 2 years ago(thinking to switch to m43 but then bought E-1) and would be more versatile than 25 2.8, but maybe not so fun and also bigger, price for 25 is 130 eur and 14-54 for 190 eur and also thinking to wait for half year or so...
Anyone seen anything like this ? This is the 2nd element behind the front lens. Although one of my kids had been using this recently, it had been hibernating for a couple of years. Just bought a nice lightly used E-1 and thought I would get to play around with this bad boy once again. Kind of surprised a sealed lens would show this behaviour. I'll probably send it in for cleaning and new seals, but wondering if anyone elese has seen this before ? Any suggestions who to use in Vancouver or...
