I'm currently looking at the Oly 12mm f2 as a lens to be used primarily for vlogging on youtube. Yes, I know there are other options out there, but they're either not fast enough (like the zooms), not wide enough (like the PanaLeica 15mm), or don't have AF (which is a must). So I need to know how this lens performs with AF for video, and specifically how it would perform with C-AF for video on a Panasonic body like the G85. I'm also looking into wide angle adapters for the lens as ideally I...

I have the 12, 17, 25 and 45 Olympus primes - I'm trying to pare down lenses to reach a three lens set for travel. I love the 25 and 45 for street shooting and portraits, but the 17 and 12 don't gel with me. The 17 seems not wide enough to capture environments, especially in tighter areas, and is kinda a half-hearted 25 - if I only had one lens, this would probably be it, but with the 25 I feel it's not really useful as it's so close. The 12 I find super wide and can only really see a few...

Salutations, everyone, Long-time lurker, first-time inquirer. Before we get started, I actually want to thank all you wonderful people for helping me pick a GM5 over a GX85, a decision that will hopefully reveal a bit of what I am looking for in a second lens. I live in New York, I love shooting architecture, and I even feel a bit like my eyes just "look" wide, like when I've got the 35mm on my wife's D5500, which is supposed to be standard human site, right, well, I always find the FOV is...

Noooooooo, not another bag question! Yep, to your utter horror you're once again asked to offer your views, at least for a little bit, on the long-discussed issue of camera bags. But hey, cameras and bags go together like peanut butter and jelly... or something like that. :-P I'm a newbie photographer in digital and have a small M43 system consisting of an Olympus OM-D EM-1, (soon a Pen-F !) :-D and three of the Olympus primes - 12mm f/2; 17mm f/1.8; 45mm f/1.8. With this I also have a grip...

Is this a psychology test? I'm not sure but I put the question to you.  I already have a silver/black EM-1 and silver Olympus 12mm, 17mm, and 45mm Zuiko lenses. So I'm a silver on silver kinda pho-tog.   The Pen-F is just so dreamy in either silver or black.  Silver is retro; Black is stealth.  Someone I heard said that the patina on the black looks better over time.  Any thoughts? So which one are you getting?

Hello, fellow image-creators: Bought and am now familiarizing myself with the joys of owning a new Olympus OM-D EM-1.  I've watched some YouTube videos so far but wanted to inquire of the forum.  In addition to the book produced by the deities at Mt Olympus, which work between between Darrell Young's Mastering the Olympus OM-D EM-1 and David Busch's Olympus OM-D EM-1 Guide to Digital Photography would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for your responses!

Greetings and salutations, As a newbie I've been very fortunate to discover DPReview and all of its terrific content. Part of that includes you, the reading, reviewing, and commenting audience. The choice of tripods, like cameras and lenses, is enormous. Since there are so many I'd like to narrow my choices. Not having any photographers as friends I appeal to you. Because I'm on a budget I'd like to inquire of you: What tripod would you recommend buying costing around $300? Thanks for your...

Greetings, In the world of printers there are many choices. Within the price range indicated in my thread title, which brands/models would you recommend I consider buying and why? Of course, I'd like something mechanically reliable and able to print 8x10 and 11x17 color and B&W images. Haven't purchased software yet so if you have recommendations about compatibility between printers and software those comments would also be appreciated. Using Win/7 home on a PC. Thanks for your opinions.

Hello all: Newbie to digital photography. Want opinions on what stars among the galaxy of image software you prefer for image editing that can be bought outright in a box, rather than "rented." Not very advanced using software of any kind so the product needs to be intuitively designed and accessible for beginners yet advanced enough to permit growth as my experience increases. Op System: Windows 7 Home. Links for purchasing suggested products and reasons why you prefer it will be...
