Double printed labels for 'Macro' and 'L-Fn' buttons. Is the lens 'fake'? I am about to buy the above lens 2nd hand and noticed that the labels next to the macro and L-fn buttons have been double printed. Everything else about the lens appears fine and it works at all f-stops and zoom levels. So the question I am asking myself is 'is the lens fake?'. Is it possibly a factory second? Does anyone know how to check serial numbers of these lenses against the manufacturer's details? Thanks for...
I currently have an EM5ii with the 12-50 f/3.5-6.3 and a 40-150 f/4-5.6. I came to that from an E-1 with 14-54 f/2.8-3.5 and a variety of lenses (most notably, both a 40-150 f/4-5.6 and a 50-200 f/2.8-3.5). But I'm a traveller who takes photographs rather than a photographer, and I tend not to change lenses very often, with the standard zoom accounting for 80+% of my photos. See http://wanderingdanny.com/ The slowness of the 12-50 at the long end is starting to frustrate me, and is the one...

So I just bought a used G7, and so far I love it. I bought a used Panny 14-42 HD lens off Amazon, and as of yet, the seller hasn't sent any update on shipping information. The original estimate for delivery given by Amazon was between the 14th and 21st of this month... I've sent him 3 e-mails with no response. I even found the seller on LinkedIn, connected with him, and sent him a message to cancel my order. In the meantime I ordered the Olympus 12-50 f/3.5-6.3, and so far I'm enjoying...
I bought the EM10 Mark II couple of weeks ago, and so far I can say that I am very satisfied. One problem I have is with the video settings. It says I could get video with a bitrate of 77 Mb/s on the EM10. But no matter what settings I try, I can't seem to get a bitrate higher than 13Mb/s. It feels that the video looks crispier on the LCD of my EM10, and I am not really happy with the video quality on my MacBook monitor. Settings: FHD 30fps (quality SF), S 1/60 I am by no means an expert in...
Does anyone have any tips for cleaning salt off an Oly 12-50mm lens? After day shooting sunsets at the beach, as well as close up shots of a couple waves in the golden hour, both the lens and the camera (EM-5) smell faintly of salt. I have wiped them both over with a damp cloth and a lens cloth and I still think there is residue somewhere. Any advice? --My work can be seen on my Flickr page- https://www.flickr.com/photos/brickcurve/
My Olympus 12-50mm lens has recently developed a rattling noise, I had it since new (bought about six months ago). I did a quick search and it seemed it normal for a slight rattling noise in this lens, since mine was silent for the first six months I am just wondering if this is normal. The lens still works fine it is just a bit annoying, especially since I would say the noise is more then slight. Any one else had this?
Hi, after long debate I am getting the E-M5 II and I have been looking if I should get it without lens and then buy something else thats not a kit. Anyway do you think the new 14-150 mm II is going to be a better overall companion than the kit lens 12-50? The difference in price if I get the kit vs the 14-150 mm II is around 300$ cause I have found on ebay great deals with E-M5 II + the 14-150 mm II as kit lens. I am only afraid the 0.5F difference they have will impact a lot my night photos...
