For bird photos I have been using an Olympus E-M5II with 75-300 which works really well and is wonderfully light. But if I want to crop a lot, as you often need to with birds, it is not as sharp as I would like. I had thought of using the proceeds from selling my Canon equipment which I stopped using, to buy an Olympus 300 f4, for the extra sharpness (along with a teleconverter) or even a Panasonic 100-400 because of the extra reach. But given I already have Canon 70-300LIS and 400L5.6...

This 75-300 mm M.Zuiko uses contrast detection or Phase detection on EM1 Body. And which one is faster 75-300 or Olympus 70-300.

Hello fellow photographers! i am about to buy a new lens, and I'm searching a wide or a "normal" (at least something wider than my 45mm)  i would like to shoot "semi-landscapes" and such and I find my 45mm too telephoto like. So my questions are: Can you do semi-landscapes with a 25mm? Does the Sigma have very bad AF, and how is the IQ? And at last, is the 17mm too expensive when you compare it to the sigma in terms of IQ and AF (As far as I know is the 17mm lightning fast) my current gear...
