Hi everyone, I recently got very lucky and found a used Stylus 1s through my local Craigslist. The price was really reasonable so I jumped on it. So far, I'm really enjoying it but must admit that there is a lot to learn about this little gem. I did pick up the 1.7 teleconverter and CLA-13 adapter on eBay and like them so far. My question is on wide angle adapters and third-party adapters. The Olympus Wcon-08x can be found used but tends to be expensive. I've seen some Raynox converters...
Hi guys, Wondered if I may ask a question regarding the Stylus 1s,, If I'm correct, (please tell me if I'm not) the auto lens cap can be unscrewed so an "adaptor tube" can be fitted ?? If so my question is this, is there a wide conversion lens that fits in order to made the 28mm into say a 24mm or wider. My Pan LX7 starts at 24mm and with the adaptor and LWA52 lens it becomes an 18mm at the wide end,, just wondered if there was anything for the Stylus 1s like...
Hello, I have recently bought an Olympus Stylus 1s second hand because I wanted to have a more or less pocketable camera for concert photography as I go to a lot of concerts and enjoy taking pictures. I have a Canon G7X ii camera for when I’m really close to the stage, but with the limited zoom it’s not really good for arena or stadium shows. I went to an open air show at the weekend which was the first time I used the camera, so I spent a lot of time looking for the right settings. One thing...
1st post in Astrophotography . So the other day Apr 22-23, I tried to snap some meteor during Lyrid shower. Setup my Olympus Stylus 1s with intervalometer for 13s exposure at ISO800 F3.5, got over 500 shots for 4 hours. Unfortunately not a single meteor was in the shots. However discover 2 shots sequence have this weird looking trail. Is it insect? I know it's not a plane or satellite, I think. Anyone here can shed some light on what it was? Thank you.
Hello I recently purchased a used Stylus 1s. The camera appears to be in great condition and i am getting a lot of fun from it. I normally use micro 4/3 gear and I have a 58mm polariser and some 58mm close up filters that I use on one of my micro 4/3 lenses. I would really like to be able to use the polariser on the Stylus 1s. I have unscrewed the automatic lens hood on the Stylus 1s and see there are screw in threads on the front of the lens. Can I attach a 'step up' ring to that inner...

We'll be on safari in private reserves for 6 nights in South Africa. i currently own an Olympic stylus 1s with only a 10.8 zoom capability. I love the size, photo quality, and auto capabilities of this camera. Looking for another bridge camera with good zoom. What's impt to me ease of use, smallest form factor, electronic viewfinder, and ability to function in low light. Safaris go out at dawn and dusk so low light is important. I went into a local store and they suggested the Sony hx400v....
A battery may die or drop voltage below a critical value suddenly. If a camera also dies on this event it is badly designed. Henry (Falkner) thinks that the Stylus 1 isn't safe in this respect (if I understand correctly). An easy way to check this for a Stylus 1s or Stylus 1 with FW 2.0 would be to remove the battery when camera is on and fully operational. I would do this test if I had a Stylus 1 under warranty - somebody has and would try this test? After this test the Stylus lens may...
