I just purchased this camera because I was looking for a high zoom bridge camera with manual focus. No place around me sells them in store so I ordered one online. I was quite disappointed that the manual focus is more of a setting instead of an active function, not at all like the focus ring on a DSLR or film camera. Is there something I am missing with this camera, or should I return it and buy something that is more like I imagined?
I have been unable to find a way to control the numbering system on my SP-100EE. If I make more than one download of photos on the same day, the numbering each time start from e.g. 240001 each time and clash with previous download. Really appreciate urgent help with this problem. Many thanks

The short: I have the above camera and I was looking to upgrade in either the compact area or small DSLR. I was looking at the Stylus SP-100 and the OM-D E-M10. There are just so many camera's to choose from! Suggestions? The long; I enjoy taking pictures, but I'm not a professional by any means. Strictly travel, wildlife, portrait, people etc. (I did do a few weddings very successfully, but only for friends that asked and I do not see that in my future.)
