I have been using it for a few weeks now and I still haven't learned all its capabilities ... But I can say I like it a lot! I am going to a photography course soon and I can tell more later on... I upgraded from a D3000 (entry level DSLR) , jumping to an enthusiast level SLR. I like the external control buttons and it is relatively easy to get use to them... I like the 2 command dials , main one and a sub one and the 2 lines of setup menus for everything, like Focus mode, EV dials,  WB, etc. ...

I got this as an upgrade from my D5300 (a great camera BTW), not for better image quality, but for the extra features and more external controls.  I did have a couple lenses that were soft with my D5300 but have been quite sharp with the 7500 thanks to AF fine tune.  The low light and AF performance has been better than my D5300 by far IMO.  I have really come to like the more external control features on the 7500.

It's indeed a great camera. The AF is good (sometimes it hunts a bit, especially because it lacks a larger number of cross-type points). I'm pretty sure Canon's 45 AF-points system is better, but Nikon's is still very good. IQ is superb. Colors are great, DR is great, high ISO performance is amazing. 20.9 MP are more than enough for me (and for most people). And since it lacks an AA filter the images it takes are very sharp. I don't print but I like to pixel peep and so far so good. It's the ...

I have used Nikon for 40 years, I own a D810 and plan to go to Z7 (Z8) eventually.  I purchased the D7500 as a compromise as I did not like the lack of flash on the D500.  The D7500 is my walk around cam and does not disappoint.  The IQ is NOT on par with the D810, but it is light and fast.  I like the WiFi, touch and articulated screen and BT functions.  It is wonderful with the FF lenses as the DX sensor is not as demanding due to the smaller area required.  It focuses fast and routinely ...

I am primarily a D7200 user. I recently had a chance to use D7500 for over a week. I started making notes of my observations of the D7500. I wanted to share this because I have recently seen lot of posts asking about D7500 vs. D7200. I would recommend anyone trying to buy a new camera not to solely rely on any reviews/opinions. Try it at a shop when you can. If it's an expensive piece, may be rent it for a week. All reviews come from the reviewer's point of view, their style of shooting and ...

I had been hearing good things about the D500 but couldn't justify the expense to myself. However reading a number of reviews I realised that the D7500 could offer improvements in metering and autofocus. Having shelled out for the camera I have spent quite a few months taking pictures with it paired with the Nikon 200-500. I shoot mostly wildlife and have owned a D7200 for three years I would have liked to keep 24 mp but in real use I didn't notice the difference. Partly this is because the ...
