Hello, Just a very general question for someone who wants to learn more about photography and camera gears. I understand that there's no substitute for taking lots of pictures, studying from others, books and courses. If a person has gone thru the basic and reached a stage to really get into the tool/camera and lenses with limited budget (around USD 1500 to 2000) , what is the recommendation of cameras to try? The purpose is to build up a strong base on camera gears to use in most genres...
I cannot find a Tamron 2x teleconverter for Nikon FX anywhere (B&H, Adorama, Amazon etc.). B&H has shown it as being available in 2-4 weeks for the past 4 months!! Since a teleconverter should essentially be acting as a "pass through" with magnification, is there any reason that I can not use a NIkon teleconverter with my Nikon body and Tamron 70-200 G2 lens? It seems to me that the TC should be duplicating the connections from the cameras body, and that ANY lens should mount to the TC and...
Hello all, I finally created an account after years of shooting and figuring out most everything for myself. I consider myself a technically competent photographer but I am stumped with a recent problem I’ve had with my D500. I may not have noticed the focusing issue earlier because most of my photography revolves around long distance shots (D500 on the 200-500) of wildlife and rockets here in Florida. You can imagine I was quite surprised to take the 500 on a shorter lens to a dog park for...
hi, just thinking of coming from M4/3 back to FF. The D750 is a very good price although released in 2014, still an excellent acquisition . would you opt for the mirrorless Z6 before the 750 ? my subjects in photography are general, my budget I can stretch.... for Z6, but the d750 24-120 f4 package seemes a good buy..... just very undecided at the moment... any thoughts or advice appreciated thanks in advance neil
DP review experts HELP: buying a D750/780 or z5/6?? Got a fairly significant F-mount lens collection (everything from 12-24 DX to 70-200 2.8, some manual lenses as well and a Df) Criteria: good quality stills dynamic range and noise: I think all modern Nikons do that. High quality FHD (decent 4K as a bonus) want to keep using my old lenses, ie I don’t want to buy into F lenses in the foreseeable future. Z7 and Z6 II are out of budget. I target around USD 1500. what do you recommend? get a...
Hello guys and first of all i apologize beforehand for the lack of tehnical language. Lately I have been shooting a Nikon D750 for sports events and I need some guidance on transferring files on certain conditions. What I mean is this. On Canon cameras I know that there is a setting where after viewing the picture taken you can mark it and later download to your pc only the marked files.(not every picture on your sd card) Since I shoot around 400 to 800 pictures per event being able to mark...
I like to take pictures of motorbikes in action. Currently I use my Nikon D750 in combination with a 70-200 f/2.8. It’s a good camera but when the subject is approaching fast and close the auto focus is not able to get a sharp image. Please note that I am not complaining; I understand I am pushing the limits of the camera which was never an action camera in the first place. So now I’m investigating whether I can buy a camera below 3000 euro which has a better auto focus then the...
I have a YongNuo YN685N flash and a YongNuo YN622N-TX trigger. They both have the latest firmware versions installed. With my Nikon D750 the flash works correctly both when mounted directly on the hot-shoe and when via the trigger. This applies to all flash modes, including manual and i-TTL. However with my Nikon Z6 ii the flash does not fire when mounted directly on the hot-shoe and using the i-TTL flash mode. It will fire when mounted directly on the hotshoe and using the manual flash mode....
