Hi, I got a Nikon 70-200 F4 ED lens to use with my D7100. The lens really works great I loved it, I wanted to use Blackrapid strap as I don't have tripod collar, I'm planing to  screw it to the body and hang it. But I am concerned if this would put a lot of weight on my camera mount. Is it better to buy a tripod collier and screw my strap to it or as NIkon 70 200 F4 is not too heavy, is it ok to screw the strap to the body and use it? Thanks In Advance

I am looking to better understand the whole concept of studio lighting, as I would like to start doing portraits. Full body, to mid body to face shots. Not quite sure I understand when an umbrella soft box would be used instead of a square one. Have been watching You Tube videos mostly to educated myself, but it's a slow go, so thought I would post here. I want to convert one end of our large bedroom into a studio and would appreciate ideas on how to do this simply and on a modest budget. I...

does anyone know where to get a ground glass split image focusing screen. I have a cheap Chinese one and it will not focus correctly. Could be because it is plastic? The original screen will focus sharp with the digital focus aid in the viewfinder, but the plastic screen, when using manual focus, when the split images are aligned the image when zoomed to its highest mag. It is not clear. Not like when using auto or the digital aid ( arrows and dot).

Hi guys, I just bought my D800 and am disappointed to find that my Nikkor-P Auto 105mm f/2.5 manual lens (Probably made somewhere between 1950-1970) does not work with the D800 - it can mount without snagging anything, but gives the blinking ERR message only after I release the shutter. This lens has worked perfectly and beautifully on my D7100, with no problems. Since this is a Pre-AI lens, it does not have any auto capabilities and the "Set to minimum aperture" advice does not apply to...

I have several months of video taken on a D7100.  Video was shot in HD. I am trying to eventually burn my video to DVDs which will play on my blu ray player.  Don't have a blu ray burner.  Don't care how long it takes or how many discs it takes to capture all the files, processor can handle it.  I need the simplest of software.  One that will keep clips separate on the menu so that I can use the skip button when viewing them as home movies.  I have already downloaded and removed several video...

without using back-button-focusing or digging inside the menu? I can't do it with my current D5200, and i'm wondering if upgrading would solve this problem. Thanks.
