I was at a friends house last night checking out his images shot on a Canon 6d with kit lens. I was a bit shocked by how different the feel was to the stuff I’ve shot on my a7iii. The images were unprocessed and straight out of the camera and there was a quality that I can only describe as more lush. Like colors were more saturated and soft. Less clinical. i’ve noticed my Nikon d5500 has a different feel as well, but completely unlike the other two brands. interesting that I hadn’t...
I moved up the line to D7000 a while ago, after being frustrated with not being able to fine tune focus on my D5100 (and earlier D3100). Love the size of the D3x00 and D5x00 and do not really need all the features of the D7x00 line (they are nice to have but I do not really need them). How is the autofocus on the recent D5x00 models? Any backfocusing or other focus issues? I know they use the AF module from D7000 which many people had issues with so I am wondering if the implementation in the...
HelloI want to buy a camera that is suitable and between the two models is d3300, d5500.Mostly interested in photographing nature, commemorating martyrs, celebrations, pictorial masquerades, picnics, and photography when it comes to war zones, Hawaii, and so on, photographing people, and ordinary photography.Gypsies are important to us.
I'm slightly above a beginner with most of my experience in yearbook and prom photography, but I'm going to the Galapagos this summer (chaperoning a school trip) and would like to take good shots. I don't want to bring much in the way of gear and don't want to change lenses as I'll mostly be hiking with a group of students. I was planning on just bringing my Sony RX-100 IV, but read in other threads that I'll need more zoom range. I have a Nikon D5500 with the 18-55, 17-140, and 70-300. I...
Hi, Was using my D5500 to take a video. Then some pictures. Then tried to play back pictures but screen was blank. Now wont allow Camera to go into continuous display (mirror doesn't go up) and screen only comes on if lens or memory card removed. So cannot even use menu and auto focus is erratic. Camera is well looked after, no trauma, just worked one minute then not the next. Did notice lens going into continuous focus adjustments before this problem. Have tried different lenses and memory...
I have a Nikon D5500 which I purchased with the kit lens. I want to upgrade this lens to a larger aperture lens in order to experience better low light performance and shallower depth of field. Would I be better off going with a prime lens like the Nikon 35 mm or 50 mm f 1.8 or a 17-50 mm f 2.8 zoom. The use would be for street and indoor. I have a Nikon 70-300 VR lens bought used which I use for portrait, nature and landscape.
Hi there I am starting my journey in photography and recently bought a D5500 from my brother. This is a great camera but I have just seen a new Nikon D7200 on sale at £599 and am wondering if this is worth it even though I am just a beginner. I have the kit lens and the AF-S DX 55-300mm zoom and am going to get the 50mm f/1.8G AF-S standard lens which will all (I presume) fit the D7200. I don't have a huge amount of money but am wondering if this model will help me learn better by giving me...
Hi! I would like to get into macro a little bit, with a reversed AF-P 18-55 kit lens and my D5500, and I guess what I can benefit from is a flash. It's nice to have a flash anyway in general, but I don't want to spend too much on it, so I've checked out 3 cheaper ones: Viltrox JY-680AMeike MK-930 IIAndoer AD-560 II I have no experience with flashes at all, but as far as I see these are all decent basic flashes. But what else a flash should be capable of when used with macro? The only thing I...
