Nikon AF-S Nikkor 500mm f/4D ED-IF II Q&As

Hi.I am having some problems using autofocus on my Nikon Z6ii. Most of the time the AF (autofocus) works, but some times the camera refuses to focus automatically. This happens at random times, and I have tried to turn the camera on and off, taking out the battery, taking of the lens, changing shutterspeed and apature, etc, but nothing works. I am considering to buy a Nikon 500mm F4 VRII on top of my Nikon 200-400 F4 VRII and 70-200mm F2.8 VRII for wildlife/bird photograph with my D800/D7000. I always buy from B&H for high priced items. But this time, I have done some quick check and found out that there are some really cheaper sites for the same description of item.
