Amazing lens, I had tried the pf and actually preferred the much older d series.  Amazingly great output.  The micro contrast is impressive, almost as good as my Zeiss lenses.  The renditional distortion is great.  Lightning fast af.  Only reason it doesn't get five stars is the tripod collar.

I can honestly say that since the very first day of having this amazing lens it has been the most used lens I've ever had the pleasure to own. It's incredibly quick and sharp- even at f/4. The majority of my captures without the converter are at f/4 with this lens, and even with the Nikon x1.4 teleconverter I'm not really noticing any degradation in IQ - only a reduction in shutter speed at f/5.6.
