Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster. I just created my account today so I could ask this question. I searched all over the site, and can't find much help. My camera is a Nikon D800, and I have a few lenses that I carry around. My favorites so far are the 50mm 1.4 and 24mm 1.8. I like to have a wide angle zoom lens for all around carrying, in case I can only carry one lens with me. That's where I need everyones help/suggestions. Of these three lenses, which would you keep and would you...

Hi there I am planning to do my first trip to some of the national parks in the US. I will be in Zion, Bryce Canyon and Yosemite (with city-trips to San Francisco and Las Vegas) I do have to decide what lenses I shall take with me and I am not yet sure. I have the following lenses available: Wide angle Tamron 15-30mm f2.8 VC (VR) Nikon 20mm f1.8 (non VR) Normal zoom Nikon 24-120mm f4 Tele Nikon 70-200mm f4 Nikon 300mm PF f4 As you can see in the Wide-angle- as well as in the...

Hello Everyone, I have been searching the forums to look for recommendations for lens choice. I currently have an old D70 that back in the day I payed extra for a 24-120 FX lens (12 or so years ago). Planning that someday I might go to an FX sensor which did not happen as planned. This gave me a general range of 36-180mm. Based on my shooting habits the 36 is not wide enough I would prefer something a bit wider but the 180mm equivalent zoom is pretty good.  I'm not sure what improvements have...

Hi all So, my trusty D200 (love this camera, have it for 8 years, already) stopped locking focus with the 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G attached to it. It wont either with the 18-55, or a 55-200, I have. But, to my surprise, it is with my old 105MM F2.8D MICRO (non AFS). Actually, it is doing it very snappy and fast. My Question is, before sending it in, is there anything that I can do, to "unlock" the issue? Thanks in advance! --Mike
