The AF-S Nikkor 200-400mm F4 ED VR II is a revised version of one of Nikon's most useful super telephoto zoom lenses, for FX (full frame) and DX (APS-C) DSLRs. The VR II version gains an improved image stabilization mechanism, nano crystal coating and the A/M focus mode that has appeared in recent Nikon lenses. The VR II supersedes the original 200-400mm VR lens, launched in 2003.
