The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8G ED is a fast, high-performance, ultra-wideangle zoom for Nikon's FX (full-frame) and DX (APS-C) format DSLRs. This distinctively bulbous lens gives extremely sharp results throughout its aperture range, making it very useful for available-light photography in tight spaces, as well as more conventional applications like landscapes and large events. Comprising 14 elements in 11 groups, the 14-24mm features an SWM focus motor for fast and silent AF with full-time manual override. You can put this lens on a DX-format DSLR if you want to (it will provide an equivalent 21-36mm zoom) but it is really designed for use on full-frame cameras like the D600, D800 and D4.
