Newegg Flash has the FinePix S9150 refurbished at a really good price right now. Best I can tell is that it appears to be about the same as the S9200 (I can only find the S9150 sold at Walmart). So I'm going with that idea that the models are similar/same for the purpose of evaluating buying the S9150. I have a Coolpix S8100 I bought several years ago, and the price is right on the S9150. I'd love to upgrade to a more feature rich camera with better zoom and, hopefully, with a bit better...
The Nikon Coolpix s8100 which I use I love for its speed. Reviewers have often remarked that it has 'dslr like speed' in terms of focus lock, capture, and shot to shot time. Does anyone know if Nikon has a current Coolpix model that matches the speed of the s8100? If so, please tell me what model that is. I do street and candid photography where a fast, small camera is necessary. Thank you.
Hi! I have two Nikon CoolPix S8100 cameras - I've managed to scratch the glass lens on both as the hooded lens cover closes with a spec of clay garden soil on it. I really like this camera but am reluctant to buy the new version for fear of this happening again. Does anyone know a solution. Are there any comparable cameras that don't have a "hooded" lens? Thanks, dcarey Ligonier, Pa.
