Hi all! I've owned I think 8 different digital cameras over the past 15 years. My current ones in use are a Nikon Coolpix P7700 and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS20. About a month ago, I filmed a video of my little girl singing, and when we played it back it had a loud and constant noise, similar to wind, except we were very quietly indoors. Tested it out a bit and kept doing it; transferred the videos to my computer and noise was still there. I tried researching some but could find almost nothing...

Hello Coolpix folks, I've had a P7700 for the last 5 years and loved it. Perfect grab and go portability, amazing image quality, great feel in the hand, articulated screen. I didn't need raw. Recently the control wheel (the ridged one on the back where your thumb hits) started not responding to the expected commands, taking multiple tries to do what it's supposed to do. Decided to upgrade, finally chose the B700 because I really wanted some extra zoom to better capture birds on our back patio...

Hi. This is my first posting to m4/3 forum. I am considering buying into micro four thirds environment and Panasonic G80/G85 is currently at the top of my list of choices. I like most of what I have read and seen about it so far (and about the available lenses) but I have also noticed some people complaining about the whirring sound produced by the ever-running IBIS system which is picked up by the built-in microphone but also by the mounted external microphones. This issue is not mentioned...

This camera completely shut down with no warning.  Two freshly charged batteries do not bring it back to life.  It is three years old and has taken thousands of photos with no issues.  Has it reached its shelf life?  Have others experienced this?  I contacted Nikon and their online suggestion was exactly what I have tried (freshly charged batteries).  Short of sending the camera to Nikon, any suggestions?

I  have a refirbished p7700 on order.  David Busch's  book for for the 7700 is more expensive than the book for the 7800 and I'm not sure its spiral bound.  I am not very camera savy. Will the 7800 book be ok to use for the 7700 camera or will there be confusion. Also is there a better or equal publication simular to the Busch book -bp044

Hi All, Got to play extensively with both the Oly E-M5ii, and E-M10ii today at one of the big retailers in NYC. I ran the menus up and down but there are a couple of things I'm not sure of. On both bodies, when you tap the touch screen in live view it sets the focus at the tap point and also immediately triggers the exposure. Is there a way to separate the two functions? There might be a situation where I want to tap to lock in the focus point but then re-compose before firing the shutter (or...
