I have a Epson P600,  and have finally found something nice that is post card size to print on.   unfortunately, things don't seem that simple. Paper -- Hahnemuhle, Fine Art Photo Cards,  4"x6",   Printer Settings,  Media type:Velvet Fine Art Paper,  Matte Black Ink Downloadable profile from Hahnemuhle The P600 wants you to use the front loader for fine art paper,  however in the print dialog box (in PS) the smallest size for using the front loader is about 8.5"x11".  and I tried loading the...

Hello, Anyone knows a vendor selling single carts for the P600? I bought a set but somehow managed to damage the seal on the yellow cart and now am afraid to use it. Some days ago (while reading about something different) I came across a posting about single carts availability but I can't find it no matter how hard and I search. I sure don't want to create a mess in the brand new printer. Thanks!

Hello, I am new to cameras, and I recently bought a Nikon P600. I am honestly really satisfied with it, but in the last few days I've been having an issue. I am really enjoying taking pictures of the moon and planets, but it's like sometimes I can focus on such distant objects, and sometimes I can't. One of the first things I tried with this camera was taking a very zoomed picture of the moon (halfway through digital zoom), on manual. I could focus perfectly on the moon, and could take some...

Folks, Can someone help clarify this "Media Type" setting for me?  I'm using LR for printing to my P600 printer, I am not clear if I need to specify a "Media Type" when I have printers color managing disabled (i.e. I'm using an ICC profile spec'd in LR).  It seems I do need to as that menu stays 'active' even when printer's Mode is set to 'Off' (no color adjustment). If I need to spec the Media Type, what do I select if I'm NOT using an Epson paper ?(as all the choices in the Meda Type menu...

Ok Folks, I realize that asking about printing paper is like posting on a car forum and asking 'which is the best motor oil'. But....I'll post anyhow. Just going to get started with Epson P600 - previously used R3000 w/Cone inks and Epson Luster Paper; it was really the only paper I ever tried - I found it to produce pleasing results for color and what little b/w printing I did. My photos are for myself, friends, etc.; I'm a hobbyist with photography. I have a calibrated monitor, typically...

Hey all,  I am a complete beginner when it comes to photography but I am looking to buy a camera and start. I therefor have a question when it comes to buying a camera. I recently went into a shop and they suggested buying the Coolpix p600 or p900 as it has a very impressie zoom which will be useful for capturing animals from long distances away. However, Im worried that I wont get the same picture quality as i might with a DSLR and a longer zoom lense.  Any chance of some feedback as to...

I'm currently planning on replacing my venerable, but several year old Epson R3000 with an Epson P600. The R3000 did (does) incredible prints, especially on matte and various art papers (from several manufacturers, including Red River, Moab and Hahnemühle, in addition to various Epson papers).  The only issues I had were the occasional difficulty with paper feed, especially using the Front Manual Feed method and with the roll media feed (especially troublesome).   Since then the sheet feed...

Former R3000 user looking for new printer; considering P600 and InkJet Mall (Cone inks) CISS system. Appreciate any comments on this Epson printer AND most keenly interested in comments for anyone using the CISS ink supply system.  (I'm not a heavy user but the darn Epson carts aren't cheap, thus the cone setup) Thanks/Bill --Bill / Oceanside, CAwww.billgosmaphotography.com

Hi guys, I finally bought a printer to do something with my photos. Epson P600. And I have what appears to be an unusual problem. Basically the printer does not suck in ink from half of the cartridges. Doing a nozzle check test print indicates that just 4 cartridges are used. When I remove the cartridges, I can see that the inlet ports for the missing four are completely dry. For the ones that do print properly, there's a bit of ink around that are. I already did Print Head Cleaning three...
