Folks, I'm currently shooting K-1; prior to that I used K3-II and did tad bit of informal testing of the pixel shift functionality but only viewed results on display; never created any printed output. Question is: are pixel shift images of any value in terms of producing 'better quality' when printing? In my case I'm using Epson P600, so max. size I can print is 13 x 19. Just got my P600 and am kind of baffled as to why the driver keeps switching my choice of matte black back to photo black every time I close the print settings window. I am trying to print on Moab Lasal Photo Matte paper and have downloaded and selected that ICC profile in the printer setup screen. I have tried choosing both Untra Premium Presentation Matte and Presentation Paper Matte as the media source. When I choose either one, the ink selection shows as matte black ink, but when I close...
For a year the above printer worked well. Over the last 6 months -its now 18 months old - the nozzles have started to clog on a regular basis every 3 to 4 weeks. I run the cleaning cycle it works again for 3 or 4 weeks when I have to repeat. The frequency of my printing has not changed during the 18 month period. Does any one have any suggestions to improve the situation or is this something I have to live with. Thanks for any ideas you have --Adrians Photographs

Hi all, I'm looking to try home printing, I'd like to start small, learn then get something better. (Interested by the Epson P600 or Canon Pro 10s but for later). I'm in UK and found a Canon Pro 9500 (first version) for 80£, it still works and prints, it has some ink remaining, only magenta needs to be changed soon. I was thinking about getting this one, use refill inks and learn with it until it dies or I found a better deal for P600 or 10S. What do you think about this (ooooold printer) for...
I print with both PK & MK on my 3880. It can be 2-3 months before I switch from one to the other. Recently when I switched back to PK I had a clog that was easily cleaned. What I want to know is in order to keep the PK-MK switch working properly is it better to switch back & forth on a routine basis or avoid switching to much. I know ink is wasted when switching but I dont mind wasting the ink if it prolongs the life of the printer. What are users doing to avoid the PK - MK switch failure?
Hi all, My beloved Epson 2200 recently gave up the ghost, and I've replaced it with the Epson SC P600. I prefer matte papers, and had been using Epson's Enhanced Matte paper. I've been trying the same paper in the new printer, but so far with poor results; I'm hoping someone will have suggestions for what to try. Epson doesn't supply (as far as I can tell) a profile for the Enhanced Matte paper, but I've read here on the DPReview forum that this is the same as their Ultra Premium...
I am trying to print multiple copies of the same Photoshop document--a 7 x 10 pre-scored card. More often than not, as the paper loads, it stops and I get an error message that the paper is jammed. It actually isn't jammed and if I cancel, it cleanly feeds through without printing. I tend to have better luck if I print one at a time, but even that is not perfect and I still get a jam error. I have tried all settings under Advanced Media Control for paper thickness. I have tried having printer...
