Hi I have an L820 that I now use as a second camera to my 3300. Yesterday I took my 10,000th picture with it. The counter only goes up to 9999. The camera has taken pictures after that and I can view them on the camera and the counter has gone back to zero. But when I took the SD card out to upload them to my laptop the pictures beyond 9999 are not there. Can't find anything on Google about this. Anyone got any ideas? If not, the camera is pretty useless!

Hello Everyone, I have a Coolpix L820. I have "downgraded" from cameras bequeathed to me from my parents - a Voigtlander Bessa II that had the rather rare Apo-Lanthar lense and a Kodak 6/16, obtaining the 616 film was both difficult and expensive now, so they have both been sold - to the Coolpix as it now suits my retired status! I inserted the required batteries and set the details to my satisfaction - Sound settings, Image mode, Date and time and time zone, date and / or time print, etc....

Hi - I am really hoping someone can help me out with what appears to be the worst photo taking ever! I am a total novice, only ever take pictures for fun of the normal family things, weddings, Christmas etc and only every for personal use. I used to have a Panasonic Lumix which I just used to point at the subject, click the button and voila! A picture! Sometimes not perfect and probably to the more experienced eye pretty shocking but a picture that was of decent enough quality to print and...

Hi, I am in the market for a good camera, after looking around i found out that bridge cameras are a better option for me, so i found he Nikon L820 which has pretty much every option I am looking for, but I personally think that there are far better cameras out there like the Fz70 from Panasonic but i am not really sure bout it, I will eventually get a DSLR, so i don't want one right now, I prefer Brands like sony/nikon/canon/panasonic, I prefer image quality over size and looks, It can also...

Whenever I zoom in or out while shooting with my new Nikon L820, the video gets blurred (while zooming in/out is in process). I spoiled many good videos by zooming in/out while recording. Is there any setting/technique to avoid this blurring while zooming in/out? I understand that this is an entry-level camera, and if we can’t do anything to avoid it, it is just fine. I am fine with it. Thanks for taking time to answer my question.

Whether quality of video and still photographs of Panasonic camcorder HC-V110 is as good as Advance point & shoot camera Nikon coolpix L820. I want to have the camcorder as it is lighter & smaller and hence will be easy to handle & carry.

Would you guys recommend the Nikon L820 or the Canon SX50 for taking pictures of mountain gorillas and other animals in low-light conditions?  We're headed to Uganda for a couple of weeks to go on safari and unfortunately can't afford to spend more than $400.  Any input that you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dana
