Generally this camera takes very good picture, but I think the lens are a little slow. Problems: Compact Flash writing speed is too slow. Especially when noise reduction is on. The compression ratio for fine is too high. Max resolution with best quality compression ratio, the file is ~ 1.5 MB... the compression ratio is too high. My friend had a Canon G2 4MB pixel files with fine quality file size on average is above 2 MB.

I owned CP5000 and have just got CP5700 for one week. I love both cameras.

Excellent SLR feel and operation. Metering is good. Pictures are sharp and clear. EVF is great. Swivel display is very nice. Built in speed light acceptable as fill flash. Overall, an excellent camera at a fairly reasonable price ($1,200). Problems: Slow write time for TIFFs. At 14mb, not surprising, but quicker write time would be nice. Chromatic aberrations on light/dark contrast (Not to bad, but come on! This is Nikon.) I really dislike mechanical zooms! Distortion at both ends of lens ...

I love this camera, it has tons of features and image quality as per my expectations. I will post a link to site containing few images as soon as I post them... probably today. Make sure to get additional storage card (128 or higerh) and battery. Problems: Slow lens - taking pictures inside of buildings with low light is not what it should be. Considering the lens the camera comes with, I think there will be limited number of add on lenses (I already picked up the Wide converter .8) and will ...

A great camera for all from macro-shots too action photography. The great 8x lens, great grip, good battery-stamnia, razorsharp EVF and nice turn&schivel LCD. All in all a great camera, in a nice, little packing! Problems: Dont like the motorized zoom too much, would prefer a ordinary zoom-ring. And a filtre thread!

What a camera! The quality is great ONCE you practice with all of the settings. The SLR feel is true, and the buttons and dial are true to SLR. So sit back, get comfortable with the camera, and then enjoy the quality, zoom, macro, and color of the CP5700.

Just sold my Fujifilm S602z (disappointed camera) on Saturday and bought a Nikon 5700. Tested it out some shots and so much better than S602z in terms of picture quality, more features, able to take in low light area (that's the most important thing that I'm looking for). The S602z can't take a good shot in the low light area and the picture always comes out blur, unless if tripod stand is used. The construction of the camera is very good with firm hand grip. My wife loves it very much ...
