With a 21MP 1/2.4-inch sensor and F2.2 aperture the Pro 6's main camera specifications have remained the same compared to the PRO 5 but there is one notable change on the new model: the dual-tone flash is now made from 10 LEDs that are arranged in a circular pattern on the back plate. The diameter of the circle is too small for the lights to have a ring-flash effect but we would assume that at least the output power is higher than on more conventional LED-flashes. As before, both phase detection AF and laser-assistance for measuring of subject-distance are on board as well. The front module uses a 5MP sensor with a relatively large pixel size of 1.4 µm and F2.0 aperture.
The new model comes with a relatively modest 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display compared to the PRO 5's 5.7-inch screen. However, the loss in size is easily made up for by the new 3D Press feature, Meizu's equivalent to Apple's 3D Touch pressure sensitive display technology. The Android operating system is powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 chipset and 4GB RAM. The 2,560mAh battery supports mCharge 3.0 quick charging.
