LG G Pad II 10.1
The G Pad II 10.1's headline feature is its very large 7400mAh battery which should make it an interesting option for image editing and viewing away from the grid. However, with its 5MP main camera and 2MP front unit, the LG tablet is arguably less suitable as a capture device.
Battery and camera aside, the G Pad II offers a solid specification that is not quite top-end, but is in most categories an improvement over the original G Pad 10.1. Android 5.1.1 is powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC vs the S400 in the older model and RAM has been doubled to 2GB.
Internal storage remains at 16GB but the LG offers a microSD slot for ample storage expansion. The resolution of the 10.1-inch display has been increased to 1920 x 1200 pixels which equals a pixel density of 224ppi. The frame now features thinner bezels and a metal finish. The new device is also more than 1mm thinner and 34 grams lighter than its predecessor and offers an interesting reader mode that reduces the blue hues in the display backlight when using it as an ebook reader. LG says that studies have shown this feature to reduce eye fatigue.
