I own it | I want it | I had it |
The G4 Beat (LG G4s in Europe) is a mid-range device that uses some of the same camera features as the top-end G4. Like on the latter a color spectrum sensor helps optimize white balance and color response in a captured scene. A laser beam assists the camera's contrast detect autofocus for increased speed and precision as well.
However, the G4 Beat has to make do with a lower 8MP image resolution (vs 16MP on the G4) and without an optical image stabilization system. In some Latin American markets the device will come with a 13MP sensor though. At the front there is a 5MP module that supports LG's Gesture Shot and Gesture Shot Interval functions. Thanks to Android 5.5.1 manual control over shutter speed and other camera parameters is available.
Images can be viewed and composed on a 1080p IPS LCD display that measures 5.2 inches. Google's mobile operating system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and 1.5GB of RAM. 8GB of storage can be expanded via microSD slot and the 2,300 mAh battery is removable.
