I have owned a Leica Q since they were first released and I absolutely love the picture quality - such rich, deep colours and amazing detail. My interchangeable lens cameras just don't match up - Nikon D3S and Nikon Df with fast lenses. I now want to upgrade my DLSRs to a mirrorless full frame with interchangeable lenses and am happy to start buying Leica or L lenses. But which camera system will match the picture quality of the Leica Q and be a suitable partner? The Panasonic Lumix S1, the...

I am a Leica SL owner and am looking for a sports camera. The Sony a9 is on sale and looks really promising. I have adapter a few m lenses to my SL as well as a few Canon lenses.  Two questions come to mind before I make the plunge: 1. is the a9 still worth buying in 2019 ? Is a new a9 II around the corner ? 2. Is the Metabones adapter worth buying for the a9 ? I am keeping the SL for now for my m glass just thought I would pose the question. Thx MJ

Love to hear what you think. Problems? Satisfied? Is the uber expensive Leica 24-90mm superior to the Pana less costly 24-105mm?  Thanks

The competition among FF mirrorless cameras is getting hotter. Very good for users. Now we have Canon EOS R, Nikon Z, and Panasonic S as well as Sony A7/9 and Leica SL. When it comes to the specs on paper, IMO, Canon has been the loser for a while. As a long time Canon user, the most attractive feature of EOS R is still that it is Canon. :) However, what aspects of Canon EOS R can be better over those of other systems? According to Dpreview's chart, the only thing appears to be a...

I need to move to a mirrorless for these two kind of photo, because it is silent, of course. which one? Sony alfa7 or  alfa9? I need a tele because in theater I shut from a balcony, I also need info about a good 300 2,8. One more question: is Leica sl +90-280 so exeptional compared to the two sony?

I purchased a SF40 flash to use with my Leica SL. I have been practicing this week to use it inside a venue later this week. Now, I decided to change the default 24-90 lens for the Summilux 50mm. The 50mm w/flash is not too big a setup to walk around with and people will not be too freaked out by it. My question, with camera in Manual, set the lens to f/2 and flash set to TTL I found I was blowing out the high lights in trial tests. Changed the flash to A, left the camera in M and things were...

Regarding my previous post, I change my mind from the leica R 180mm f2.8 to these lenses because of some reviews. I'm interested both of these lenses for use with my Leica SL. I have had the leica summicron 90mm f2 v3 (pre asph) but i sold it already and i have plan to buy the new one (90 apo), yesterday I just read some review of Leica Summilux R 80mm f1.4  and i really like the bokeh of it. Has anyone use both of these lenses? and which one is better for any situation? I like to candid...

I got questions again :P  I have no idea about the Leica R lenses.  Is that good on SL? I want a telephoto lenses that is not expensive like the expensive SL native lenses ( and too heavy). I googled and found the Leica R 180 mm f2.8 that the price is cheap. Has anyone use this on Leica SL?  I'm not sure the lens could produce the sharp image and good bokeh. Thanks, Chalat.

With all the noise and lame (if not unexpected) bickering over the wonderful new A7iii I'm not seeing that much meaningful discussion on the "new" Sigmas. Here's what I'm scratching my head over: According to Sigma's press release under Key Features "5. Available Mount Conversion ServiceThis service converts the mount of SIGMA lenses to that of a different camera body, allowing photographers to continue using their favorite lenses over the long term regardless of camera system." This makes me...
