Hello, This is my first post and I have a question. Though I'm not new to digital photography, I leave it for my "family" pictures. Having gone through several disappointing experiments with different size sensors, I have settled on the Sony R1 for the last couple of years. My love for film and the more ambitious projects continues with two M bodies, namely an M4-M and an early M6. I have a handful of M lenses including my favorite 21 SA f/3.4 and a version 4 35 Summicron. I know that I won't...
I am looking for a portrait lens with smooth bokeh at around 85 mm focal length. I hope to listen to your experience with R 80mm summilux on digial body, such as M240 or Sony A7. (color rendition, resolution, any other issues...). Thank you very much in advance. Best regards
Just acquired a new Leica M 240 to go with a gorgeous used sum micron m 35 Asph. Yesterday, I noticed a very slight "play" in the lens when it is in the locked position. The play is very slight along the shutter axis: you can rotate it back and forth by a millimeter or so even though it has clicked in place. It does not seem to affect the focus sharpness. Is this a serious matter? Or should I just disregard it? I am new to the M and don't have another lens to check against. You answer is...
Hello, I am really thinking about getting a Leica M however I have one question about its ISO Settings, lowest ISO seems 200 with option of Pulling to 100 I am used to taking photos always at ISO 100 in my 5d, I was wondering if it would bother me if I shoot in 200 in M, Also does anyone here have experience of shooting with 100 ( when pulled ) and can comment on the quality of it.
- In full manual mode, does the back LCD screen brighten in bright light and dim is dark light? My Canon 5DII does not do this, but my Fuji X cameras indeed do this. I prefer when this does not happen, I want to see the exposure I am getting. - What button do you use to zoom in and out to check focus in Live View? - Might their be any complication in using M42 lenses with an M42 to Leica adaptor on this camera? Thanks in advance. -Mick
I have been thinking, reading about purchasing a Leica M lately. I have been shooting for the last couple of years with my DSLR and 35 mm and wondered about it for the last couple of months.I know that the results depends on the user more than the camera but I would like to know a bit about experiences with LEICA after coming from a DSLR background such as mine. Thanks a lot!AG-
