Hi Guys .... I bought a Leica V-Lux 5 last month, but for some reason cannot activate the digital zoom. It appears 'greyed out' I have tried to activate it in different shooting modes, different picture sizes and tried turning off the iZoom, but no luck ..... any ideas, am I just being dumb, or can this not be activated despite being in thew menu ..... thanks

My camera is a Leica V-Lux type 114. I managed to connect the camera to either of my iphone or ipad with no problems. Remote control works well but not for long! WiFi disconnects frequently asking to change position and reconnect. This happens when the distance between both is as little as 18”. Any suggestions would be very welcome as I’m trying to capture feeders on my bird table.

Hi, I am going on two holidays this year to places I am not likely to revisit - Vietnam/Cambodia and Morocco.  I'm obviously keen to  get the best pictures i can. I  would appreciate advice on buying a tripod.  It has to be lightweight and fold to relatively small size or I know realistically it'll be difficult for me to to carry around  (I'm a fairly diminutive female!).   My main camera is a Leica V-Lux so is not heavy and is a zoom lens camera.  I won't be taking extra zoom lenses. What...

Hi all, On a V-Lux (114) the minimum f-stop goes up as zoom increases from 2.8 to 4.0. Does it also work out this way (increasing one stop) when I start at say 4.0 or 5.6? In other words, does my f-stop goes up likewise when I zoom in? Example: starting at 5.6 at 25mm eq., zooming in to say 200mm eq., does my actual f-value increase to 8.0? Or does it remain 5.6? If anyone knows, I'd be happy if you share your knowledge with me/us. Regards,

Hi all, Is it possible with a V-Lux (114) to fire a studio flash using a hotshoe >>> X-sync adapter? There is no 'logic' or camera - flash communication, just a classic hotshoe flashtrigger. Will the camera trigger a flash even if it doesn't 'see' one? Anyone used something like it?

¡ Hola a todos ¡  :     Recientemente compré una "cámara puente",en concreto la Leica V-Lux Typ 114.Todo parece ir bien menos un ruido que se percibe cuando está encendida y se acerca al oído. ¿Es normal? . Gracias.

Does anyone know how to operate a "slave" flash with the v-lux 114.  I'm using a Metz 44 AF-1 that has a slave mode, but cannot seem to trigger it.  The Panasonic FZ1000 has an option in the menu to turn on wireless on Ch1 by default, but I can't find anything similar in the Vlux menu.  What am I missing?

Currently own the Leica T + 23mm but may look to expand into Leica system later on in the future. I'm not a professional, just a young man living in an urban city doing street photography as a hobby. The 18-56 will serve as the go-to for more reach and some slight wider angle view. May use this as an everyday lens, I normally shoot at f5.6 or f8 so the lens wouldnt bother me that much. Downside of the lens would be that it's expensive as a "kit zoom" and there may be certain events or usages...

I currently have the Fuji xt-1. I do a local photo shoot a few times a year. This past Christmas we did over 500 cd's.  They are full portrait session....very fast paced. When we do these events I am required to only shoot in jpeg due to them getting the cd the same day. I am currently looking at the fz1000, Leica V-Lux  typ-114, and the sony rx10 m3. Would love feedback on SOOC jpegs from these cameras. Angie
