I've bought this camera years ago, just to own a Leica. Back than, it was cheap for a Leica. Now, I took it out of its bag again and began a second time taking pictures with this camera. If you know, you don't have to use iso 200 or 400 and if you know, you have to use a diphragm like f2 this camera takes the best pictures I've ever saw. Better than actual DSLR's from Canon or Nikon. Great B&W-pictures and the RAW-pictures are much better than the JPEG's. Now I have to save money for a big ...

Bought this camera from ebay mainly on the basis of other user reviews. They are right!! Great analogue controls, superb lens and film-like IQ. EV takes some adapting to but not really bad and LCD screen very clear. Problems: Hard to find some features (eg B&W settings) in manual.

Here we are in 2009 and I am posting a review of a camera that has been around for more than 5 years. Why do I bother? Well, in the blizzard of new cameras that hit the market every month, with ever-increasing pixel count, 4007 focus points, all- singing, all-dancing in-camera features, I keep coming back to my Digilux 2 -- I also have a Nikon D200. Not only does it provide an aesthetically pleasing photograph taking experience, because of its analogue control features -- shutter, aperture, ...

I recently bought the Digilux 2 after having owned an LC-1 for a couple of years. (They are essentially the same camera.) I bought both for the Leica lens, and I have not been disappointed. In fact, I tend to use these cameras more than the others in the arsenal given their small size and light weight (compared to my Fuji S2 Pro for example). The image quality is simply astounding, and that is saying a great deal as I have been a life long Nikon user (since the days of film). The images need ...

If you can get your hands on a Digilux 2, do it. It seems that suddenly there are a wave of people that have decided they want a camera... not a computer. Granted, I still need rapid fire, big gun DSLRs for work... but my "Sunday driver" is the Digilux 2. It puts the joy back in photography. If you're someone who wants to shoot in manual mode and would like to relive the days you enjoyed taking pictures, this is your camera. I love it.

I got this camera second hand in mint condition with replaced sensor. Also owning a D- Lux 3, the Digilux 2 feels like a real camera. It gives me the same feeling as using my Leica CM or CM Zoom. Image quality is superb, lens outstanding. Wish I had this camera earlier. Writng speed of Raw is rather slow but not a problem to me. Problems: None yet
