I did my homework on this one. Reading every review going. I first wanted this camera on looks alone which is a bit naive. But knowing a bit on digital photography i just knew the features were going to be great. And they are.Movie mode is fantastic and a great little add on feature. Great fun. Dont listen to too much to people who constantly winge and moan about build and quality. This camera is strong. very strong. The flimsy battery door some were going on about actually locks. The shaky ...

After playing with this camera, I have realised that indoor picture are not very sharp, and little bit yellowish, comparing to pictures that I have made by my old (and cheaper) digital camera Fuji FinePix 2650. Outdoor picture are preaty comparable. In both cameras I have been using Auto setting, 1600x1200 resolution, Picture quality: Fine. I have tried to use manual setting and get them in better shape, but it haven't got any improvement in picture sharpness. Problems: No technical problem ...

I have been using this camera for cuople of months. Camera makes good images (compared to sony DSC-P72 and HP 720) With very fast autofocus (outdoor cond.) speed, many features really easy to use. Incredible 10x optical zoom, very good macro function (5 cm.) and low weight. Problems: Seems a liitle bit cheap body construction and poor cover for battaries. Indoor with dark conditions having some problems with fast focusing, but its ok you just have to get used to it.

This camera works great, very easy to use, and has many features. The only bizarre thing I found was the EVF switch that for me has no meaning...no reason to be there. I simply do not use it, the LCD is fine. The other interesting point is the speed, this camera is really really fast; to turn it on, and start taking pictures, it takes... maybe two seconds?. The images are of very good quality, and the performance in low light conditions was very good. Sorry the flash has to be set manually, ...

This camera was loaned to me to have a look at. It is lightweight and quite small. Not small enough to put in your pocket so the size thing is wasted in my opinion. For my taste the camera is to small and there is no place for your other 6 fingers. My first disappointment is that the threads for mounting any type of filter are gone and in fact the lens opening is tapered, making it near impossible to fabricate a filter mount. Everyone I know wants a UV filter at least, to protect the lens. ...

This was the first time I bought a camera without actually looking up any reviews first. Normally I spend hours looking up as much as I can. I bought the Z1 instantly I saw it in the shop, mostly based on the features I saw compared to similar priced cameras. I was initially concerned about the floppy lens, but reading other reviews has relieved my concerns there. Yes, the camera is a tad plasticy, but there has to be a trade-off against the feature set at that price. Besides, it's no worse ...

This is an excellent camera that offers great value for the money. The level of features the camera provides - 10x optical zoom, a very fast "next picture" speed and the ability to control the exposure settings are perfect for people like me - I'm no professional photographer, but I want to be able to take pictures in a wide variety of situations. A basic camera isn't quite enough, but the SLR's are too much for my needs. I found this camera extremely easy to use right out of the box. People ...

In my previous review, I said that this wasn’t a camera for professionals. After using the unit for about 2 months, I found that the Dimage is not even a camera for beginners. The problems I’ve highlighted might not be an issue to most of you, but I’m sure we all have one common goal, and that is we all want excellent picture quality. When the auto focusing works the photos are half decent (don’t get me start on the purple fringing problem). This is the kind of camera that you would but for ...
