I bought this camera as a replacement to my Canon Powershot S400 Digital ELPH, which was my first digital camera. I was mainly drawn in by the 10x zoom, 640x480 30 fps movie mode, and the positive review at Steve's Digicams. I recently returned the Z2 for another model (Sony DSC-P100). The main reason? Low light shooting was pretty bad: it took a relatively long time for it to focus, was usually unable to accurately focus, and the picture suffered from allot of noticable noise.
