I got this camera used for $10 at a pawn shop. I bought it main because kids see me taking pictures and they want to try, so I wanted something to hand them they could use without risking $800 or so in equipment. It's great for that purpose, but I'm afraid not much else. There's no manual mode, but there are quite a few auto modes for situations like underwater, backlight, night, etc. To do video, you have to select a video mode it through one of the mode change buttons on top.
