Simple to use, relatively tough(with 1 exception), inexpensive and good picture quality for $180. Problems: Dropped it and broke battery door, and Kodak won't replace the door or camera, even under warranty- it's a 50 cent door, for God's sake! Due to the way the batteries are in the corner and the actual corner is part of the battery door, if you drop it, it'll fall battery-corner down on the battery door, and likely break the flimsy plastic tabs that hold the door shut.

I bought two of these for a friend and myself. I wanted as simple a camera as I could get that had a video display. The camera has admirably satisfied my need. The fixed focus lens performs quite well, even at infinity. The camera is simplicity to use, although a SanDisk card reader saves time downloading images. Problems: The video screen is fragile. I somehow shattered it by dropping something on the camera. Oops. My fault more than Kodaks. Otherwise the cameras have been trouble free.

This was my first digital camera purchase and my impression of it is that it's a good value for the money. Which is to say that the problems with it can be mostly overlooked due to the excellent price. The construction is sturdy and it's one of the few cameras left that still connects with Serial (a must for Windows 95 users). The disadvantages are that the delay between pressing the shutter button and the picture being snapped is about 2 seconds, and there is no macro focus - recommended ...

I have had this camera for roughly a month now and I am Very happy with it. i got mine from CompUSA fro 169 plus 30 dollar rebate so my cost was only 139 plus tax. For the price it is an exceptional camera. I would recommend buying a compact flash card of at least 16 mn or preferably 128 mb. The internal 2 mb of memory is very slow compared to the flash and only allows 6 pictures. I was able to take 50 pictures at the best quality on the 16 mb cf card and I am happy with it. Although I ...

I bought the camera for christmas, and have never used a digital camera before. I am very impressed with the results, they exceed my hopes. I wanted a camera which I could get good quality snapshots for my album as well as for web use, and price is an issue. I waited for a 1 megapixel camera to drop to my price, and the Kodak fitted the bill. I only need "familyuser" quality. Paper copies I have sent for are much better than I thought possible up to 18*25 cm. The 10*15 are just as good, ...

This camera is great for "WebTV Plus" users. This camera has a video out connection which is needed for the WebTV Plus unit in order to send photos with email on the WebTV Plus. Works very well and is very easy to use for anyone. Problems: None to date....Just had to build the video cable instead of ordering it from Kodak, an option needed to show your images on a TV or use with a WebTV Plus unit.

With a price drop to around $150, the pros far outweigh the cons (which are few). Its light weight, and easy to understand and use features, and its not to wimpy 1.2 mega pixal res give the first time digatal camera users everthing they need for great quality pictures! The 1.6 inch LCD screen is also a nice touch not found on most lower priced digitals; and its view is acurate to the picture color and quality. The TV slide show viewing feature (with purchase of hookup cable) is a unique way ...

I agree with all the other reviews. I wanted to comment on the high street price. You can buy this camera from Kodac for $175 and I got mine for $125 from Best Buy which was running a sale.

I really like the camera I got it for a christmas present. It has a great internal memory. Since I have had it I have bought two 16 megabyte cards abd they work great I can take about 178 in good quality, 79 in better quality, and 49 in the highest quality. All around I am very satisfied with this camera and would highly recommend it to friends. Problems: The only problem I have had, and it is not really a problem it uses batteries fast it will run a good two hours on my rechargeable nimh ...
