This was my first digital camera bought back in 1999. I have taken over 3,000 pictures with it and for a 1 megapixel it does very good. For a point and shoot and simple operation it is great. In a nutshell, it.s a good simple practical camera but not for serious work in the least. Problems: Battery drawer latch broke. It cost 35.00 to have it repaired by Kodak. I feel should have been repaired as a warranty item since they have had so many with this problem

I have been using this camera for about 4 years now. I have used it for everything, I carry it with me everywhere I go. I have made some beautiful photos and have never found any difference in quality in the photos when enlarged. I have not done any thing above an 8x10. I have take pictures from as far as 350 yards and my zoom is wonderful. The one thing I have read with others on these reviews is that they don't have a usb for this, nime came with usb, and the tranfer is very fast. I bought ...

I bought this camera as a simple point and shoot replacement for a 35mm Compact. I have not been disappointed.. I have taken hundreds, if not thousands of photos with this camera - from holiday snaps, to items for ebay auction listings. The holiday snaps are great - the camera handles Mediterranian colours well and produces decent images suitable for printing up to 5x7 (I've even done a few at 8x10 - and are fine except for the closest examination).. The image size is relatively small so ...

I bought this camera back in Feb 2000 and have since then taken over 5,500 photos. Had been waiting more than a year to buy a digital camera, and when this one was released, I bought the millienium (gold) edition which included an 8mb card and a sandisk USB card reader, which is DEFINITELY faster than using the serial connection. I use Kodak NiMH rechargeable batteries which seemed to work pretty well, although this camera is extremely power hungry. For a 1 megapixel camera, it performs ...

I purchased this camera s/hand on ebay earlier this year at what I feel was a bargain at less than £100. Its my 2nd dc I also own Coolpix990 that I purchased new when they were newly released on the market. I take the DC215 everywere as i find its ideal for notes and reminders of locations etc a kind of picture diary if you like. Its got a very solid well built feel to it and it more than servse its purpose. I would certainly recomend it to a first time user who might be thinking of trying ...

I use this camera recreationally, and actually bought the Kodak/Lexmark PPM printer to go along with it. While I don't recommend the printer, I do recommend the camera. Overall, it's pretty good and easy to use and a good choice for someone just getting into digital photography. Problems: I really only have three complaints with this camera. Complaint # 1 - it eats batteries like there's no tomorrow. I use Dynacharge, which are usually pretty good, but even they don't last very long in this ...

This is a great begginer camera. I have taken many pictures and have recorded some great memories. I have had a lot of luck with the battery life, about two weeks, but I do use a scan disk reader. Problems: occaisonal bluring. 2x zoom is very limiting, but that is probably not a problem with just this camea.

Real estate professionals choice. My brother, and many of my real estate colleagues also own this camera, and most swear by it. I am sad to say, after 19,550 photos over the past 2 years with this camera, I am in search of a new digital camera because I crushed mine in my glove box which broke the wide-angle/telephoto button. I have dropped it on concrete, its been thrown around in the car, and never had any problems until now. It is probably fixable, but I cannot be without a camera for ...

I am an Amateur Photographer here in New England and I do Landscape Photography. I have owned this camera for 2-3 years and honestly can say it take great pictures. I have a lot of my work displayed in local craft shops. I have never had any problems with this camera and would recommend it to any one who may just be starting out in Digital Photography. I also still use SLR Cameras. Problems: Never have had any problems with this Camera.
